Another one who clearly didn't read the fronting bint thread.

Interesting to see what you think if you get hit by a driver who has the policy voided because they were fronting... It's their choice as you say - but you will be the one screwed as a result. Not the end of the world I guess.

I read every bit of it, but it's the internet, you don't believe everything you read..

As has been said above, if you're hit by a 'fronting' driver, the insurance company will pay out. Get over it, it happens all the time, there's plenty more important things to be worrying about..

Ah right, I didn't realise that thread was all lies, thanks for clearing that up!

As for getting over it - sorry if uninsured drivers bother me.

Being a person who has always had his own policy and now is paying a very good price for insuring an MX5 the question I do have though, is how would the insurance company know the person is fronting? Couldn't these people just say they were only using it part of the time. Where does the point come in that fronting is occurring? I never knew it was such an issue until now.

I see a few people have referenced the "Fronting Bint Thread". Allow me...

http://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?h=0&a...

Summary: bint owns a BMW. Bint wrecks car. Bint comes on here asking for help since car is insured in daddy's name and the insurers tell her to go whistle for her money. Bint stomps feet a lot and eventually deletes all incriminating evidence ('cept for the quoted posts, of course). But in the meantime, keen PHer views her Photobucket account and finds lots of pics of naughty plants.

Does anyone have an update on what happened after that?

If your proposing in getting a corsa when you turn 17, Quinn Direct is the best insurance company to go with, I only pay £381 a year.thumbup
Quinn Direct are great!

When one of their policyholders hit my car, they rolled over so fast that they started generating coriolis force.

Yes, who knows exactly who is the main driver? How can you tell?

I'd imagine that faced with a huge payout (driver ploughs into a bus stop full of people for example) the insurance company might think it worthwhile to investigate further.

Right let me clear this up....

SXiLad is not fronting, what he is doing is perfectly legal and what I advise my clients to do for their own children, but always advise that as soon as they have passed their test to switch the insurance into their own name as we over a great young persons policy, which tends to win them over.

Clients agree with what I say all the time.

Fronting is when a high performance car is insured in a parents name with the young'un as a named driver, but the young'un is the main driver hence saving the young'un a ton of cash.
