just needs lowering slightly, don't know why these come so high from the factory.

Some Eibach springs will sort that out smile

Quick picture of what mine used to look like

Is it just me that can see this is a pretty obvious, not to mention rather bad, photoshop?

Doesn't look like it to me, although I'm no photoshop expert. I've seen cars that look lowered like this on many forums, so it's not inconceivable that it's genuine.

I know that these can be droppeda l-o-n-g- way but if you look round both arches carefully you can clearly see where the black has been applied. It's all pixelated. No?

The wheels look like they been photoshopped black as well? You can see bits of silver showing through. Unless of course they've been curbed an awful lot.

It's probably just a crap camera and a compressed image. Some cameras really struggle with red. Look at the rest of the image too, it looks fuzzy and indistinct as it's low-res.

Powder-coating the wheels is a common mod. As I say, it doesn't look photoshopped to me..

That said, it doesn't look very nice either, I don't like dark wheels on dark colour cars. The ones on the Z4 look awesome though.

Updated:

So yesterday i was up bright an early, 9am to get the stripes off, which took all of an hour to do the roof, mainly because of the difficulty getting to them!

I love it wish i had done it 6 months ago. Then i had a helping hand from a mate who decided to pop along in his ZS.

I had ALOT of baked on brake dust which he kindly demolished with some bilburry whilst i clayed the bonnet boot and roof to remove any further marks around where the stripes were.

Suprisinly there were no patches of glue at all!... well not that i noticed anyway. I will puirchase some tar remover mid week and have a blast next weekend but im pretty happy with the results. Apparently i need to head over to clean your car for some products so there goes £80 minumum!

I gave it a polish and wax and went a bit snap happy. enjoy

Ahh get him cleaning! He deserved that subway!

Dont worry that pad had already been used! in the wash it goes

Loving reading about and looking at pictures of your new ST. I got mine just before christmas. A non striped red 07 plate. Just wondering where you got your Fiesta ST OC window stickers from. I'm a member of the club, but the shop doesn't seem to stock them?
Any help would be much appreciated! Happy Fiesting! Alex

I think you did the right thing in taking off the stripes - it looks so unassuming and clean! Very nice.

I went to a PH meet a few weeks ago, their was a performance Fiesta ST there with a Cosworth Turbo kit, reputedly running 300bhp. Mental.

yeah sounds about right there are a fair few supercharged FST at the momenton the owners club! I've seen a couple running between 300 and 380 there is an alledged 400bhp fiesta out there somewhere aswell! I would like to see that power out of something else though to be honest! I would be happy with mine at 200bhp by the end of summer. Thankfully I've got a mate who works at the cosworth plant in those photos!

On one of of your pics you seem to be pissing the passenger side front wheel cover/hubcap?

I nearly bought one of these last year, but came to uni instead, lovely motor.

Any news on the proposed mountune 185 kit?

Yep it is missing! I was planning on getting the alloys refurbed and powder coated anyway in dark grey but I quite like them standard! So I will need to replace it, they are renound for coming off or being stolen to I will have to silicon them
on! Im currently at Uni so quite a luxary really final exams start Monday uh oh and dissertation presentation on Tuesday!
Well mountune charge around £2k to have the 185 kit and fitted but I can buy the parts and fit most of myself or by an engine builder at work!
