Took it down york raceway for a few test runs today. As the surface isn't too good i knew i wouldn't break any records but i were more concerned about trap speeds.
Best run was 14.73 @ 100. All other runs were 14/15 sec with consistent 100mph traps. The cam/18lb boost must be doing the job, No idea how much power ive gained but 10mph up on last runs at the pod.

The gtt carb has 2 stage enrichment circuit for on boost fuelling. Ignition is controlled via the Aei, Basically a primitive ecu for ign with knock control & has a vac capsule that adjusts the ignition when it senses boost. It all works pretty well for 80's technology.

Brigsy mate.. I have 4 GTT spares with Dunlop tyres (I was told they are road legal semi-slicks, but I'm not too sure myself.. they look pretty damn slick!) painted black, if you're interested? Im in the process of sorting a set of gt turbo spare steel wheels out & fitting them with r888's for a more stealthy look.[/footnote]
On a side note - what's the crack with your GTT?

You hit the nail on the head Jessop, Cant leave the van alone lol. Ill get the gtt back together one day.
If the weather holds out this week im going to do some more tuning this week, get the full potential out of the current setup. Taking it down to Santa pod for a few runs at the end of the month, Going to dig my mickey thompson drag radials out & see what it will do on a well prepped surface.

Doen a few runs at Santa pod on fri. Done a new best time of 13.4@97 on slicks, 14.3@98 on road tyres. Hot weather weren't helping things as it felt down on power slightly, Grip/surface was awesome though.
Its possibly the fastest Renault extra van in the world now lol. Roll on 12's when i up the boost.
