Just bought this and thought I'd give it a clean today as the sun was out.
It's my replacement for my recently sold Audi A3 3.2 as the A3 was a bit boring, the Roadster isn't super quick but is dam fun clap

The only let down about the car is the gearbox, although I'm told a remap helps to sort this out.

Any comments welcome tongue out

Have to say they certainly are nice, I like that alot the black and dished rims really do go down a treat. I'm also one who prefers the rear windscreen/boot too.

Hope it puts plenty more grins on your face as you'll find its less about the speed but the general driving expirence.

Totally agree, the black and deep rims in silver really make the car. I too think it's the better shape.

Might go for a play on the Beacons Monday to have some fun and it will all be within the speed limit hehe

Lovely.

I was lucky enough to work on the IT development of the Smart Centre's in Europe when this was being developed. We worked on a secure site in Boeblingen, near Stuttgart, and used to see these whizzing about the car park.

I had a drive in one the first ones, but not nearly long enough to get a decent view on it.

Still got a really soft spot for them, shame they dropped the production.

We also visited one of the Smart factories, near Strasbourg, from memory. You could eat your dinner from the floor, oh and remember the crossblade....

Can you see anything out of the rear window?

Very nice car, I think these look so much nicer in Brabus form as well.

The view out the back isn't too bad, bit restricted but enough to park easily and to see who's behind you when driving.

well done :thumbup;

these are super quick in the right places so don't get caught out and spin and crash it

sat in one the other day and had forgotten how low these are and I'm used to my Midget and Westies!

just get used to the car the way it is drive thro' the slow changes and don't worry about more power use what power you've already got (which on some ocassions will be too much anyway, I've spun (a lot) less powerful cars - poor driving technique)

Gordon Murray drives one as an everyday car, which sums it up smile

I totally agree, it's note quite as quick as the TVR nor does it have the outright power, but what it lacks in power it makes up in maneuverability and nippy-ness. Either way as with all new cars it take time to get used to them rotate

ah ok, ta!

I’m glad you like it. I love the silver on graphite.

I’m tempted to get rid of it soon. The last two services have been fairly costly. £800 and £574 respectively so I think now it’s all up to date and serviced it’s time to move on.

I would like a V6 Clio and I’m more happy spending that kind of money on servicing on a vee rather than my brabus.

That’s what you get for using it as a daily car.

Love it, been thinking about getting one in exactly the same spec.

Is it full or semi-auto?

Very nice, one day I'd love one of these, the Roadster Coupe is by far the best looking. Did they not come with a manual gearbox at all? Or am I confusing this with the ForFour?
Surely you'll miss the sound of the Audis V6?
Are your wipers not the wrong way round, as in the blades on the wrong arms?

Good spot, realised that the other day. Not sure why they had been put on the wrong way round all sorted now. The V6 was nice but the car was just dull.

It was the highest spec I could find and well worth the looking around. They are all semi-auto.

Thanks all for your comments

How fat exactly are the rear wheels on these? They all look very deep but I've never actually had the chance to take a look
