Hello,

Mrs Hero is due a baby in 12 weeks so we decided to get a little runaround for me getting to work (she'll be keeping the scooby frown). Anyhow, it's not a bad car actually considering it's French. Saving a fortune in fuel already getting to work (stuck in traffic there and back).

It's good fun driving

Cheers,

Neil.

I've allways had a soft spot for these, but been put off by the lack of a manual, is the GT version pretty much a vts with a manual 'box?
Nice colour too! smile

Lack of manual? Not sure about the GT to be honest, the VTS does have a manual box though?

The GT is the about the same as my VTR but instead of the Sequential box it's got a "proper" manual.

You can't pretend to be a rally driver in the GT... wink

Love the last pic from the OP, tidy looking motor! thumbup

Just like that smile

VTS is highest spec.. 125bhp, Manual 'box, A/C, 25mm lower.
VTR is same engine.. But 110bhp, Sensodrive, A/C Optional, 25mm lower.
GT same engine again.. 110bhp, Manual 'box, No A/C or Foglamps or spare wheel or splitters, basically stripped out version, and apparently thats not as low due to this.

Very nice car!

I was going to upgrade to the VTS from my VTR but will just keep it an extra year and change to a ClioSport next year.

Nice buy, i had a silver VTS for a few years. It was great fun, quick cheap and fun...

How the hell did you get that last pic?! Iv been sat scratching my head for a few minuites, surely the Citroen badge should be just as blurred as the rest of the wheel as its spinning at the same rate? Photoshop? Well trained finger? Either way, good job!

Nice one, big thumbup for managing to insure that as a first car!

My daughters boyfriend was looking to buy mines but told me he had been quoted about £2500+ TPF&T and just couldn't justify it! yikes

I'm paying £2500 Fully Comp on my own policy and have just started driving (Well I had at the time!)

Hopefully a 182/197 next September biggrin

Used a camera mount, took a static shot first, then the motion one. Copied the badge from the static one and photoshopped it onto the motion one wink

Never had car insurance in my life, always been insured under the wife's name (worked out cheaper for the last 12 years). I insured the C2 in my name (0 no claims) £240 fully comp clap (I am 37 though)

Very nice! I was looking to buy a CT VTS a few months ago, but no insurance company would touch me, then tried some GTs (unaware at the lack of AC) and then some 1.4 whatever spec, but I figured it'd be too small in the end. Are they actually as small as they seem? I drive past Jonny675s often but have never actually stopped to compare sizes.

Tell me, how do you take a picture like that (the last one), I've got a borrowed nikon D40 from college at the moment and would really like to try it out tomorrow

It actually feels very spacious compared to my Impreza, it's more to do with the headroom and seats though I recon. The C2 also has more room for larger Ikea boxes due to the seats folding down (which the scooby doesn't do).

As for the last shot, you need a mount, here's mine.

You basically stick the mount on the side of the car, use a slow shutter speed and drive at around 5mph.

Oh right, I wasn't sure as I'm 6ft 4/5 and have rather large feet, wasn't sure about the pedal box size either. Would love to have tried one but the lack of AC on any of the 1.4s I found put me off frown

Damn, I haven't got one of them, maybe if I hold the camera firmly to the side of the car will work... Thanks!

Ahhh okay, its cause i've been looking at first cars, and i know these are good cars but would prefer a manual box in a first car rather than sequential/auto wink
And Nick, im sure i could still pull some rally driver-esque manouvers in one hehe
