wavey welcome. Looks to be a tidy motor. Love the sound of 5 pot cars smile Shame mine doesn't have a turbo attached to it though.

Thanks for the comments guys.

The 5 pot sound is great, had a 1.1 saxo then a 1.6 mk1 focus before this so it's a huge difference in sound and performance.

The remap was £345 and the intercooler came to £550 supplied and fitted

Nope sorry they're not, it's KVY

sounds very reasonable, was it all from AMD? i was looking at dreamscience modules but they are about £200 more.

There are benefits to Dreamscience though; multiple maps which can be adapted to suit further mods, ie. CAIS, exhaust, turbo downpipe, sports cat etc, they are removable by the owner eg. for servicing (and leave no trace that the car's been remapped) and finally they have a resale value (my Dreamscience Duo (with 9 maps) cost me around £600 when I bought it and sold for £440 when I sold the car). You can't do that with a 'hard' remap although full custom mapping that produces a map specifically tailored to that car might be better.

You pays yer money...!

Yup i agree with all that. I seriously considered dreamscience and almost bought it, however i'm part of the ffoc as well and i arranged a rolling road day out with AmD. As a result of this they offered everyone who took part a remap for £300 plus VAT, very hard to refuse. The map should respond well to adding new parts such as a CAIS etc as it has taken very well to the addition of the intercooler... i'll probably add a CAIS soon so i'll keep you informed if you wish

The intercooler was £450 from Performance Deals UK as part of a group buy through focusstoc.com and then i paid £100 for fitting.

Love the ST, i had an orange ST-3 - kept it standard though, didn't want to invalidate warranty.

Wish i kept it now. frown

I was never gutsy enough to have the orange.. Best-looking orange one I've seen was this one; very subtle mods, and the BBS wheels set it off a treat:
