Fantastic. Clearly there are so many different opinions on what wheels look good, you'd have to have a different set for each day of the week.
How much was it if you don't mind.
About the same price as a new Focus. How much was it if you don't mind.
Personally I think it's amazing value when you consider the styling, condition, hand-built solidity, performance and rarity factors.
Not sure values will go up much in the current climate but I think good examples will hold their money.
A mate owns a 2004 645i and at the rate it's depreciating I reckon by next year my Six will be worth more than his!

It's also the only car I have ever owned where driving 200 miles leaves you feeling like you have driven 2 miles.
People are saying that the XJS is the current bairgain classic, but no, these are. Own one and fall in love, they are still fresh and modern feeling - they are also easy cars to buy, if you see a tatty one then it will have had a very very hard life as the quality of materials in these things is top notch, they only look tired if they are real dogs.
Mine came with the none BBS TRX wheels and yeah, they are the first things to go. Saab used them as well and the idea behind them was that the tyres had strong sidewalls and they were glued to the rims, this meant that you could drive with lower air pressure in the tyres which increased the contact area of the tyre on the road, giving more grip.
The reality is expensive tyres and less grip than a slightly bigger tyre
Brilliant car, enjoy it!
Welcome Martin!
Quite surprised you've only just found your way onto pistonheads, i'm sure a few people will know the name!
Anyway, you should probably post your own thread in Reader's cars.. rather than posting in someone elses... although I should think you'd have a fairly massive thread going on then if you posted the whole fleet

That Highline's lovely and the E31 split rims are spot-on - what colour is it?
It must be one of the best examples left.
Thanks for your kind comment Its Royal Blue metalic (which looks much nicer in the sun) with Lotus white leather, I have only clocked up 3k miles in all the years I have owned it. It must be one of the best examples left.
