After having a more show than go focus i have decided to grow up.

Bought myself a ST170 in imperial blue. Its got a few extras and only 30K on the clock.

this one is only going to recieve handling and performance mods.

Love the look of those focus'. (focai?)
Is it these that everyone allways says that they feel quite underpowered?

Nice choice smile

This does not feel under powered at all. My old 2.0 was quite underpowered.

Imperial blue was only found on the (focus range)ST170, RS and few limited TDCI Sports.

the car is far more responsive than the old one and pulls quite well all the wat through the gears.

The closest thing I've driven to this is a 110bhp 1.8 mundano which felt pretty heartless at times but I imagine this is would be pleanty adequate for funnnnnn

Off topic, but those pics look like a French setting rather than UK!

Cant really compare the two. My old focus was 130bhp zetec and that is slow against this one. Not sure of the difference between the zetec and duratec engines.

Very nice tidy looking car. Not too easy nowadays to get a low milage one, or one which hasnt been 'improved' with a book full of Halfords gift vouchers!

The Duratec was the new era (if you like) of engines, after the Zetecs. Most noticable difference is the Duratec has variable valve timing (I think on the intake only though), and a timing chain (as opposed to a timing belt). Loads of other (internal) differences, like better designed head, pistons etc.

You mentioned a few mods, anything in mind for it?

I have just sorted out some eibach springs. going to look into eibach antiroll bars, under drive pulleys to start.

Would like about 200bhp. Need to keep it sensible as girlfriend will also be driving it and she is a learner!!

The alloys look great with the imperial blue. It's not a colour I see around often.
