I've got EBC Yellows on my VXR.. cold they are OE quality, as soon as they are warm, they are great. I've heard horror stories too, but in truth, i've not found any of them to be true

Update

APR R1 Diverter Valve,
Forge intake and intercooler pipes
custom 3' downpipe

154kw at all 4 wheels.

need to go for a stealth fmic as the standard smic aren't working the best now. Might go for a bigger garrett turbo to replace the k04 as well. Should bump that to around 185-190kw at the wheels.

A front mount is well worth every penny...gets rid of that horrid heat soak.

The Forge one is pretty much the best 'off the shelf' fit as you get a new crash bar to suit. There are cheaper ones out there but stay away from the 'ebay specials'.

Getting rid of the Schrick cams as they are loosing too much down low and don't use it up high enough

Going for a Stage II Apr tune and have a custom front mount coming from Germany in the next month or so. Once it is installed I'll get some pics up

Cheaper than buying a Forge and no mods to the front bar.

Also fitted DBA slotted rotors and Ferodo pads.

Oh, and the cat may have gone MIA but that doesn't get checked on our vehicle roadworthy checks.

Stereo upgrade (6.5 splits, amp) getting installed saturday

Update time. Didn't go stereo. I went for a custom 3" downpipe to a 100 cell high flow cat to a custom stainless exhaust into the current Remus back section. Currently getting fabricated by Franck at FMD Motorsport.

FMIC on hold for the moment. I'm going to buy a 1999 WRX STI (Japanese import) for Improved Production racing instead. But that will be for another readers' cars entry once I find the right one

And a pic from an audi club run dominated by 8L S3s. Mine is the one at the end.

Pic doesn't work, you might need to upload it here too, in some ways I miss my S3 loads but after going through all of the receipts I've got I'm not so sure anymore. hehe

I've always had a soft spot for those wheels, but that kind of money gets spent on performance stuff. And I'm trying to get some spare cash for my new tracktoy.

Most of my expense comes from having minor issues (such as failing cat) and then going "yeah, I'll get a custom exhaust made up to fix that problem" laugh

Thought about a decat but the fine in Australia is such that a 100 cell high flow cat is a much better economic option – The fine is on the spot $10,000AUD, or about 6,000 quid of your money so really, really not worth it

Aged really badly?

Rose tinted glasses aside... i think they still look pretty damn good, they so much nicer than all the 'in your face styled' new generation hot hatches. The S3 blends into the background, then comes flying past smile

Yeah, that much.

For the gains the bang for your buck ratio doesn't really add up.

Not sure on that JB, I think they have aged incredibly well!
