Right then,

First car was a 1993 Nissan Micra 1.3, slogged my guts out when I was 16 to buy a car, and that's what I bought!! Served me well for nearly a year now, not been easy on it but haven't spared any cost maintaining it, but due to age and a 17year old behind the wheel, it has taken its toll on the gearbox, 5th gear has now gone! Dont care what people say baout these cars, but they are bloody good fun!

The failure of 5th has led to me buying a Peugeot 206! It's a 1.4 Quiksilver edition, and has actually cost me the earth to insure, but hey, got to start building no claims at some point!
Here they are:

UPDATE:
Due to a change of circumstances...the Peugeot went in August 2010..replaced by:

The Fiat was a steal, one previous owner who unfortunately passed away, therefore a factory fresh low low mileage car for peanuts! Happy with that. Great for getting me to Plymouth and back from west Wales sat at 90mph quite happily. Also a trooper in the snow!!

BMW 318is Coupe.....best car i've owned yet...I am only 19 :P. Insurance is nowhere near as bad as imagined! A few hiccups, nothing major. Real comfortable cruiser but will casually remind you at times when you're being a bit of a dick (think wet weather!)

Feedback welcomed biggrin

I see your Micra had 1.3 engine, much brisker than bog standard 1.0 unit!

Not sure what those 206 are like, but is a much more modern car. So can't be a bad thing!

Funnily enough my first two cars were a Micra 1.0 and a 206.
The Micra will go on for ever unlike the 206 though - in my experience at least smile

Hey guys

Yeah the 1.3 is quite nippy!! I'm loving the fact that I have creature comforts in the Peugeot, such as electric windows, power steering,ESP etc

The car has been checked over by 2 independant mechanics and both say it's a very sound car!! But hey, what happens, happens!

All local indian take-away's use Micras around these parts (Leeds) for their food delivery service. Reliable little motors. smile

Looks very much like my first car - a 206XSi.

Good fun to drive.

Yep sold my old one to a takeaway shop owner. Haggled like crazy though over a tenner smile
I might end up back in one soon - trying to save some cash!

Micra's are dangerous things! I had one for a day as a loan car. Almost killed me on several occasions.

It just felt like a damn bumper car! biggrin Excellent.

May I ask how much the insurance is on the BMW? I'm 19 and looking out for cars at the moment and can't find anything remotely insurable that remains a tad interesting! smile
