hi guys here my little old alfa bought her in jan for a song and now just getting her tidyed up and setup ready for swap to a 3.0 v6 i hope to do as soon as funds allow and of cause a full service and cam belt

koni sports all round
lower front end on the torsion bars
zender 5 spokes look great
lowering springs out back (there all wrong but will do till the RSR ones arrive)
when funds allow a rsr roll bar will go in

still got to get a blow in the exhaust done and the rear engine mounts a little tired

so much fun though here a few shots just after i bought it dont worry the dodgy track day tapes have come off

thanks Andy

Great car OP - had a go in one once. Same spec as yours but RHD. Went very well.

Nope. It's what the Granada V6 Ghia X is to the Escort.
biggrin

As an aside Mat, you do seem quite obsessed with the Arna. I'm sure you manage to mention it in most Alfa threads.
Is it your guilty pleasure? You can tell us...
hehe

My quest for a concours condition original continues wink Any mention of the Arna is always accompanied with a wink, and a cheek full of tongue.

It'd be unfair to class my self as an Alfa fan of the OP's level of dedication, I do have a massive place in my heart for many of the models. The only reason I sold my only Alfa was becuase it was from the FWD era, and I hankered after a RWD car ..... Whilst a 75 would have been a great car to own, it wouldn't have liked the 25k a year that I put on cars.

My 156 was a lovely lovely drive, and a great "place to be".

Okay bit of an update

over the last month I have overhauled the brakes. the in board mounted rears are a right pain in the neck to get at and work on especially as I don't have a lift. I up graded the pad's to EBC green stuff's, changed the fluid was going to use a performance grade but had some good quality stuff already. and braided flexy lines. also got round to messing with the rear ride hight , ive always found it too low so I had some 30mm, spacers to lift the rear of the car looks alot better now .
then on Saturday I took the car to Auto italia at brooklands. with alfa owner and she was the only 90 there. got lots of attention too. then in the afternoon the guys egged me on to run her up the test hill. did it 4 times, my second gear is alittle sticky when cold, so on my first run being a proper amateur I crunched the change. but once the car warmed up, I found I could go all the way in 1st which was well very loud.

also there's a few more pic's here on photo bucket
