Daihatsu Cuore Avanzato
Discussion
Yesterday I picked up my Daihatsu Cuore Avanzato. Not sure what kind of reception the car will get on PH, but here goes!
Some of you may know the car as it was previously owned by a PHer. It is a one-owner, 22k mile UK-spec car. In white, which was my preferred colour. Only has a 660 cc engine, but weighs just 650kg. Turbo, LSD and permanent 4WD means the car is a riot to drive.
Some pics:
Future plans for it are quite minor.
Definitely need to refinish the alloy wheels. Debating whether to keep them standard spec or possibly go white or black. Also need to fit new tyres soon. That will probably be it. However, it does need T-cutting back to remove 12 years of London grime from the paintwork. Tried a small patch today and the results amazed me. Looking forward to getting that done
Loving it so far, but appreciate it won't be too all tastes. I've also written a lengthy blog on my PetrolBlog on life so far with the Avanzato. Please check that out for more information.
Will upload more pics when the T-cut session is done!
Thanks for looking (and not laughing!).

Love little cars like this, its so light. Seeing it next to the golf in the photo above really shows how tiny it is (and how oversized the golf is)
Must be a real hoot to drive
Thanks.Must be a real hoot to drive
Yes, it is indeed a hoot. After the 202 mile journey home last night, I could have driven on and on. Surprised me as I was expecting a loss of hearing and a seriously bad back.
I love the simplicity of it.
superb. There was a Top Gear feature on this and a few similar mini rockets shot around Central Milton Keynes a few years back IIRC.
This is not it:

Thanks for the comments.
In answer to the questions, it is an absolute riot to drive. Amazing acceleration for such a small engine and tons and tons of grip. Only group 7 insurance too.
I knew nothing of them myself until February this year. From that point on, I needed to get one! Delighted so far.
All part of my masterplan for a 4x4x3 garage. Avanzato, urS6 and next the 110 Defender (as soon as the Focus ST170 is sold).
Happy days.

What do these normally fetch? I am seriously interested in buying one after seeing this...
Difficult to price due to their rarity. I've seen high mileage cars in need of attention for around £1k and mid mileage cars for £1.5k - £1.7k.What do these normally fetch? I am seriously interested in buying one after seeing this...
Took me a couple of months just to track one down! Seriously glad I did - I rate it amongst one of my best purchases!
