The US numbers dont seem to add up, 2 other members on here have ran them very hard here and not got anywhere near what the US guys are achieving on basic engines, whilst people here have tried new heads, cams, different compression ratios the lot but still cant get close.
Clearly US bhp is different to UK bhp!
Totally agree! Same for all the US vs UK power figures i have seen. Without getting into a US vs UK BHP argument i have seen US guys quoting 1100++whp from an EVo and then one of the best UK tuners only getting 1000bhp (messured using a engine dyno) on the same turbo (the UK setup was running out of turbo at the top end as boost was dropping off). Oh and the turbo (GT4202RS) is only rated to 1000 flywheel BHP! Clearly US bhp is different to UK bhp!
Chris.

Indeed. I'm now on my third engine to run a TVS2300 and this time I think the combination of cam, engine capacity, heads and static compression ratio should be optimal. Still I will be surprised/pleased if it breaks 650 WHP (800 FWHP). Goes on the engine dyno a week Tuesday so we shall see then.Clearly US bhp is different to UK bhp!
Also, water injection will not add any power, it just keeps it safe.

Yep good idea with the injection, best thing ever fitted to mine, wish had done it to the first car too now. However never had time to experiment with it too much, but was good being able to lift the bonnet touch the SC and it was cool, well almost stone cold when running the water, made a massive difference to intake temps. Also, water injection will not add any power, it just keeps it safe.

Would never map it to run with it however but just running a small injection of water only should be a great addition to a road car. Adding the meth would be good for a track car but I wouldnt bother for the road only.

I'm told I may have no choice as water/meth injection changes the AFR? Anyway the Aquamist system has a system that tells you if the WI fails.
