Afternoon all,

Here is my new (to me) 328 sport! I'm very happy with it and its currently doing way better MPG than my previous Alfa GTV. I think you will agree, for 140k she is still looking lovely! + After 2 E30 325 sport i'm a BMW fanboy so finally back in something i love.

I've been having a few teething issues but nothing major ( an oil leak, flat batt ) I also need to do a few jobs to get it where i want. The accessory belts need replacing, the Rear bushes need swapping out, a new gear knob, Steering wheel re-trimmed, wheels re-furbed and im thinking long and hard about getting the rear spoiler removed.

Luke.

Nice looking car, and personally really like the spoiler on the back in this case. Though would well understand wanting the clean lines. Might be a couple of holes when you take it off mind.

Followed your purchasing decisions in the m/rant thread. You have ended up with what looks like a wonderful car!

You sure about those mirrors? Actually that probably a moot point as they're usually pilfered within a week or two.

Nice example. I still think these E36 Sports look brilliant, even today.

i have the originals if anything ever does happen to them. Im pretty indifferent about them tbh, they are OK and i cant be arsed with the hassle of putting the old ones back on. + they have the night time tint in them to reduce dazzle which is always nice!

Sorry, didn't mean to be negative. Nice car, just wasn't sure about the M3 addenda. Almost bought a convertible last summer and think the lines are probably some of the nicest penned in the 90s.

Agree that the E36 is probably the nicest looking of all the 3-series.

Looks good - me likey! Would keep the spoiler myself, others prefer to
remove it. It's a personal choice really...

Lovely example there mate, very jealous! I take it you didn't have much trouble shifting that equally lovely GTV? smile

Was up at 2k, knocked down to 1800 due to the oil leak.

Had a few minor issues, Like
the alarm fob not working
finding out it needs new rear trailing arm bushes
broken wire on the illuminated gear knob throwing the dash lights into spac out mode!

Its all sorted now though. Like i said a few things i still need to look at

Inc the oil leak, cant find it for the life of me
alarm - need to contact sigma direct as BMW no longer support it
rear bushes
and the accessory belts.

Its all MORE than worth it though.

Thanks for the Peer pressure btw, Mirrors are now standard....
Looks loads better IMO!! (anyone want a set of Genuine M3's wink)

Almost bought one of these late last year, well not a sport, but some bugger beat me to it. IMO lose the spoiler. Otherwise, nice motor! smile

What year is it? Does it have TC?
I found the standard 2.97 ratio diff a bit too long geared. Got a 3.23 out of an M3 EVO in there now and really livens up the acceleration.

M50 inlet manifold off an earlier 325i or 525i with help the breathing higher in the rev-range increasing top end power, at the expense of low end torque. A cheap worthwhile mod IMO.

I hope the 3.23 LSD does make a difference mine is going in thursday

very nice dude!

Love the 328 sport, I'd deffo ditch the 'em free mirrorz', sadly, they have become a bit of a modifying cliche.

Besides, What i like about the 328 is the fact it's not an M3, It has a mutch better image imo, capable and discrete.

Good buy!
