Ok car was on the Dyno last week, and running well. We noticed an oil leak however. (Sump gasket) so very minor, but took a while to get from Honda, as its not a stocked part as my engine is a hybrid of JDM BB6 Type S Sump mated to a JDM BB4 H22A Block mated to a JDM BB6 Type S Head. lol.

Sump gasket was fitted yesterday along with the gearbox brace. However Romain the mapper is off until Monday. So Monday it will get back on the Dyno.

Hopefully get some results then.

Cheers
Jay

Cheers Marf.

Minimum revs 8800, Max 9200.

I think we will push it to 1.5bar for now. See how injectors / fuel pressure is around there. Should be enough, best for traction etc, and wil lleave massive tolerence in engine / turbo etc.

Engine was run in, i did 1000 miles on it without the Turbo.

It had to come of the dyno today as an S2000 was booked in for mapping. Will be back on tomorrow. Its being done slowly to make sure all is ok. Just need to keep an eye on the spark now.

Which dyno/garage have you been working with? Are they a Honda specialist?

Cheers, Greg.
The car is being mapped by Romain at Eurospec2000. They do all Jap cars, but yes Romain is a Honda Specialist.

Very good company, they have been doing a few bits to it for me and mapping, great service.

One of the guys was down there having his S2000 mapped, and took these for me.

The stock fuel system and uprated single fuel pump 255 was not pushing more than 1.1 bar, had her upto 1.3bar at one point. IDC increases but mixture doesnt get richer.

So finalised the map:

415hp / 365WHP @ 1bar
290lbft
9000rpm rev limit
Boosting hard at 6000 - all way to rev limit.

Shes coming home tomorrow. Im going to use it at that over the winter, then come April, im going for a new fuel system and big power for the 1/4 and over 2bar.

You need yourself a proper Bosch 044 motorsport pump or similar- that'll sort you right out.
That pumps 300LPH it would have been better as im using 255LPH, but for serious power it still would not be enough.

I'll be putting this lot in, in March/April next year ready for serious power biggrin

x2 Walbro 270 Fuel pumps
1 Swirl pot
1 Aeromotive fuel pressure reg with fuel gauge
AEM Fuel rail
Obviously dash 6/8 lines.

Walbro 255 in the tank hotwired sending the fuel to a swirl pot, then 2 Walbro 270 in line pumps pending the fuel to a Dash 8line going to an AEM fuel rail, then fuel rail to an Aeromotive fuel pressure regulator with fuel gauge, end with a Dash 6 line returning to the swirl pot.

Once thats done i can hunt my 10second 1/4 down next year smile

Would be interested to see the torque curve on that assuming you're getting a dyno plot when you get it back. Excellent work for seeing it through! clap
Yes i'll put the Dyno plot up once i get it Saturday / Sunday. Cars home tomorrow, MOT & TAX on Saturday then i'll have a little play.

It will run like a normal Accord Type R below 5000rpm, after 5000 all hell breaks loose all the way upto 9000rpm. It was making 415hp @ 6000rpm all the way to 9000.

Ive been told the Dyno graph goes along on the horizontal axis, then just shoots up in a straight line. lol.

I found out the problem with Accord R fuel tank. Totally different to any other Honda. There is a small swirl pot which the fuel pump is in, put any pump in there it will not give more than around 360whp. So i need to modify this swirl pot and allow more fuel to flow. Will do this soon.

Car arrived tonight, i had to have alittle go.

Quick boost test video & pics & dyno graph here:

I do Stew.....just not very well. lol.

Joe, will be looking at Oulton / Donington / Silverstone etc.

Might enter the car into something and event or series etc.

Had an email from Ben yesterday, most of the work i asked for is done, just waiting for a pipe for the airfilter, then cam timing play and remap.

Then testing to see how she goes for a while. Weather is pants.

After the changes, cars making 475hp @ 1.1bar but looks like the pump is going off again. Damn it lol. Thinking of putting in a bigger internal pump as the fuel tank modification is doing the trick.

490hp @ 1.2bar lol but pump was low.

Current remains as 475hp @ 1.1bar and 360lbft.

Ive asked the guys to try something on the pump side of things which may get us over the 500hp mark for now.

Decided to have the car come home last week. It was picked up on Thursday last week but due to the weather has been kept in the transport companies warehouse. Is on its way to me today, no point driving it in this weather.........might make for some nice snow photo's lol.

Well i came home today, and the snow started falling hard frown Wasnt going anywhere as the battery is pretty much flat, its been in a warehouse of the transport company i use and they have been moving it alittle but the battery was pretty much flat. Was going to put it on trickle charge but with this weather there is no point.

Currently at 1.1bar 475fwhp / 405whp / 360lbft (fly)

Will upload graph tomorrow as ive left it in the car. Took a few pic's before i went hiking.

Still need to do:

Fit Rear Arms
Fit UR Rear ARB
Heatwrap Rad Pipes
Custom Intake Hard Pipe (Heatwrap and fit HKS Mushroom Filter)
Fit Bonnet Vent
Cut out Grille
Have bonnet rolled (where turbo is)
Spray intercooler black and black mesh over

Then drive it for abit i guess, when the weather picks up. Until then i might go drop it off at the body shop.

Anyway some quick pics.
