LSD is and easy swap..
Read anti roll bar off.
6 Torx bolts on each axle (connecting to the diff)
4 on the prop
3 more bolts and it pulls out.
Takes about 2 hours on a lift.
Saloon, easier to replace the windows with plastic (coupe the doors are frameless)
Thanks Joe, is that for fitting a sport LSD?Read anti roll bar off.

I thought the M3 diff was more complex and you couldn't simply swap one diff for another?

I was off a 328, so straight on.. if its not i.e its off a 3.0 m3 (you need a medium case sized diff) which the 325/328/3.0 m3 is. The 3.2 will require the whole backend change as the diff is a 'large case'.I thought the M3 diff was more complex and you couldn't simply swap one diff for another?
Anyways.. all you do is pop off the propshaft connector [held in with one nut], and put the one from the 328/325 on.. just being careful not to over tighten it.

5 years on, car still flying along quite happy..
Recent changes, new exhaust system, M3 front bumper..
Car now is in bits and being sanded back, I have purchased a spray gun and lots of kawasaki green paint so its going bright green and black (roof).
Needs new disk/pads on the rear, and have a set of e46 disks/calipers still to go on.
I also just got this (car is getting fast on Castle Combe now, with limited run off), and a new set of full poly windows.
