I recently bought this 2.0 s Capri

I had some 7x13 minilites spare so I have added these, other than that its a standard 2 litre S

Its the nicest capri I have owned, pretty much rust free !

No big plans for this year as I have just bought a house, but next year I hope to get more power somehow ! I would like to keep the car original if possible, so I guess i'll just mess with the pinto engine a bit

I have since removed the 'old man' mudguards, most capris werent fitted with them and I think its better without...

That's nice.
Makes a change to see some good old real rubber instead of "rubber band, lo-pro".
Suits it.

I'd put the mudguards back. They look OK, and they'll help keep it rust-free and clean.

I'd love to do a conversion with an M3 - straight 6 - running gear. Would make a cracking car IMO.

Brings back happy memories of the Mark 2 2.0S I had between '83 and '88. Only had the standard alloys though and was in the worst colour.

ETA - Replaced it with a Fiesta 1.3S which for some reason didn't feel any slower!

Other than a polished exhaust that is perfect. Leave the outside well enough alone, Capris are hard to get looking right if theyre messed about with too much.

If you want some period alloys, my old man has a set of 13"x6 polished Wolfrace slot mags in the garage from his old MK2 GTXLR. Have been sat there for years!
