After owning an assortment of sports and kit cars over the years I have finally splashed out on a VX220 (N/A). I've had it a day and after 5 hours of cleaning it looks like it does below! cloud9

Its got a super loud & poppy Larini exhaust, diffuser, ITG induction as well as xenon light conversion. Its a lightning yellow limited edition so has a hardtop and is a gteat colour although it looks a bit custardy in the pics!

I/m lovin it! drivingsmile

Love it cloud9

I normally hate yellow cars, but the VX220 looks good, especially with the black details. How does it drive in terms of straight line speed?

My next car! (but I want a black one biggrin )

A while ago I wussed out of buying one due to lack of practicality and being scared of insurance and running costs (went for a Cooper S with servicing included!). Still fancy one, prefer it to the Elise both in looks and for the torque. They seemed to be hovering around £8k for a looked-after one when I was last looking?

Planning on doing anything else to it? Don't some people fit different sized rear wheels as it was originally designed?

Expect to pay between 8.5-10k for a really nice NA.
As for wheels people tend to go for the 16/17 combo rather than the 17's that come as standard.

Not planning any more mods at the moment except interior cosmetics. The dash and door cards are made of cardboard and they have a few small scratches on them so Im covering them in that new 3M carbon/vinyl wrap. That's about it!

The straight line speed is wonderful, responsive and its amazingly well balanced. The Larini exhaust is LOUD but pops and crackles beautifully! I've only had it 2 days so Im taking it steady (never had a mid-engined car before).

I paid £9000 for it, it was up for £10000 and although you can get cheaper I wanted a car with these mods and its only done 30,000 miles with FVSH.

I like LYs, looks like a nice one.

I'm picking up my second VX (a VXT this time) on Wednesday which has the same diffuser fitted. Not sure if I like it or not yet.

Bought one of these new, back in the day, in Rabiata Red IIRC. Was a stunning colour. God, I miss that car.

I believe it should have had 16's on the front instead, but to try and introduce a level of under steer the thin 17's where put on the car as standard.

I've put 16's on the front of mine, and to be honest I can't really say I've noticed a great deal of difference but I does feel somewhat more planted. Previously it seemed to have a tendency to slightly over steer going round a nice big run off roundabout, but now it just is utterly, planted.

Great cars. I'm on my third NA this time I supercharged it. Apart from the charger and exhaust it's totally standard and I think it's perfect smile

Great choice, I had a Turbo for two years as my daily driver, did 17,000 miles in it, wind, rain, snow, floods you name it, never missed a beat, did like a good chew on rear tyres tho!

That is lovely, always preferred it to the equivalent Elise (looks wise, never driven either). But yeah enjoy her!
