Cool little project, looking forward to further updates!

Do you plan to keep the aircon and 6 speed box?

its good you got all the keys etc as getting around it can be a problem, I will be watching this as I have had some experince working with tuned tfsi's and they are a great engine.

have you considered an APR fuel pump with s3 cams with the right map you can get a bit more power but a better spread of torque over the rev range

Well fella's, I have to say I didn't think my little project would cause such a stir?!

My thoughts are everyone is entitled to their own opinion. Not everyone will favour what I'm trying achieve but I expect that to be honest.

I'm very much a OEM person. I'm not a big fan of massive body kits and vulgar cosmetic mods. The majority of this project will be achieved by using VAG parts.

As I've already stated my aim is to keep and restore the unique design features of the car but give it modern technology and I believe the TFSI engine does just that. I would also like to make it clear that I'm not that naive to think dropping in a 300bhp+ motor and leaving everything standard will work because it won't. I have some Porsche 911 rear calipers on their way with Seat Ibiza Cupra R 305mm discs to provide adequate stopping power for the front and complementing Mk4 Golf TDI rear calipers, I will also be fitting KW variant 3 coilovers so she handles like a go kart. Plus many other up-grades.

I'd also like to thank those who are in support of what I'm doing. This project is being attempted by myself and a few friends helping out when they can, bless 'em. I refuse to give a company £7k and say fit that engine in this car I'll see you in a few weeks. There's no sense of achievement. I like to learn new things.

This project is like a barn conversion. Keeping the characteristics of the exterior whilst modernising the interior.

More pictures from today;

Nothing major, just removed all the interior in preparation for retrimming.

This is an awesome project!

There's something about the lines of the Corrado that for me make it the best looking VW ever made, with a nice new engine like the one you're putting in, it will make such a fantastic car.

I have a Corrado VR6 myself and love almost everything about it, it's such an individual car. I love the noise of the VR6 and would love a bit more usable power, I cant help thinking that having 350bhp will be a bit of a handful though!

Are you going to fit any traction control to it? How about an LSD?
There's some good information about traction issues on turbo'd Corrados over on the Corrado Forum.

Watching this with keen interest mate thumbup

Cheers bud.

The Corrado is certainly unique car.

I know what you mean, the VR6 motor is very addictive, I used to own a Golf VR6 and loved it!

Honestly, I'm not 100% sure on what to do about the obvious traction issue, I only started looking into a LSD last week so... but I'll defo give that info a look on the Corrado forum.
