What is it with people having a dig at the bloke?
It's a free company car and he likes it. This isn't an article, it's a thread about a readers car, so perhaps a few more pleasantries wouldn't go amiss

When you get it stuck in the snow give me a shout and I'll come and rescue you in a proper 4x4 hehe because with those tyres even with 4wd you're not going to get far.
.

so this wasnt your comment thenbiggrin

It is indeed my comment, I'm not calling him an idiot for wasting money or claiming it's ugly though, I merely had a dig at the headlights smile

I don't like it im afraid. I don't mind the new countryman (in a twisted kind of way) but it needs to be specced to look abit rugged and have some big tyres. At the moment it looks like it wants to be a JCW, you may aswell just buy a JCW if you want something like that.

But its your company car and im sure they want you driving the latest model so fair dos.

It's not a piece of art, it's designed to make money for BMW. I'm sure there are plenty of lower middle-class aspirational mums out there who will beat a path to the Mini dealers door to make their husband sign up for the 14% APR finance to impress the girls in the school gate queue!

£32k though? You can get an ex-demo Discovery 4 for that! yikes

I know the countryman is not to everyone's taste . But I like it , its broght a new group of customers to the brand . Oh and it pays the bills !!!

Looks great, just goes to show how trim sensitive the car is. You have the spec bang on and it shows. The price however is ridiculous, even with the strong MINI residuals this is still going to loose a lot of cash.

each to their own, but like many have said I think £32k is far too much.

Think BMW may have got carried away with their own success - can't see many people walking through the showroom past X3's, X1's, 3 series, etc in favour of this

If its a company car though, tax must be a bit of killer - or can you get around this being a dealer?

As smart as this looks, please someone tell me it isn't really 32 grand? This is a wind up surely? I expected someone to say it cost an expensive 22 grand, not with another 10g on top...
