Those headlights
When you get it stuck in the snow give me a shout and I'll come and rescue you in a proper 4x4 because with those tyres even with 4wd you're not going to get far.

so this wasnt your comment then
I don't like it im afraid. I don't mind the new countryman (in a twisted kind of way) but it needs to be specced to look abit rugged and have some big tyres. At the moment it looks like it wants to be a JCW, you may aswell just buy a JCW if you want something like that.
But its your company car and im sure they want you driving the latest model so fair dos.

What is it with people having a dig at the bloke?
It's a free company car and he likes it. This isn't an article, it's a thread about a readers car, so perhaps a few more pleasantries wouldn't go amiss
Sorry - it's a free country after all - internet oppinions will differ. Struggling to keep my lunch down It's a free company car and he likes it. This isn't an article, it's a thread about a readers car, so perhaps a few more pleasantries wouldn't go amiss

As a member of the younger generation i really like that, but i can see why a lot of you older phers might not.It has a state of the art upto date look unlike most of the hacks that ford/vauxhall etc churn out...well done bmw and well done for driving such a nice company car...
I'm 22 and dont particulalry like it I dont see many Fords or Vauxhalls in the same segment selling for 30k+ either.
It's not a piece of art, it's designed to make money for BMW. I'm sure there are plenty of lower middle-class aspirational mums out there who will beat a path to the Mini dealers door to make their husband sign up for the 14% APR finance to impress the girls in the school gate queue!
£32k though? You can get an ex-demo Discovery 4 for that!

Andy, ordering your staff to stick up for you on here is'nt doing your thread any favours
Umh good idea , mind you one of them drives this ! Which is 30k How many people will dislike it. I wonder ?I know the countryman is not to everyone's taste . But I like it , its broght a new group of customers to the brand . Oh and it pays the bills !!!
But I will get them on line to stick up for me !! Three beautiful girls sticking up for me !

each to their own, but like many have said I think £32k is far too much.
Think BMW may have got carried away with their own success - can't see many people walking through the showroom past X3's, X1's, 3 series, etc in favour of this
If its a company car though, tax must be a bit of killer - or can you get around this being a dealer?
