Thats pretty nice mate. As above i'd probably go for standard size wheels and sort the rear height out - my mates standard 1.4 sr was a lovely handling bit of kit.

Do you realise its still registered with the DVLA as having a 1389CC engine? The DVLA should be notified of any changes to engine number and cylinder capacity...

and you'll still be giggling when he smacks into your car and it turns out he's uninsured.
FFS.
Not strictly true. His insurers will still pay out for any third party liabilities. They may then persue their costs from him.

They were only called Nova's here though, in part they were never the Nova, just the first Corsa

L reg nova, Super rare. How many are left???
Can't be many. I knew someone who had a K-reg Luxe+ model, had electric windows, central locking, cross-spoke alloys and same stereo as in the Cavalier of the time. Almost last of the line. Seemed like luxury in a supermini back then.

Pity the OP hadn't kept it standard, would probably be worth more now.
Can't be many Novas of any description left now

Was it known or badged in the UK as a Corsa A? The same as Cavaliers were not called Vectra's

Who fking cares. The only reason it's rare is most of them have rotted to oblivion or been so beaten with the chav stick they're completely unidentifiable.

Anyone else struggling to understand what's rare about a Nova with a different engine and some big wheels?
He's de-badged the rear removing the small vauxhall badge from the rear only to replace it with a FECKING HUGE sticker in the back window saying VAUXHALL rolleyes
Don't forget the yellow drums!

I'm sorry but I feel over come with the urge to go bonkers at some of the people that use these pages. Yes the op may not of told the dvla, he may be uninsured, he may even be a propper tool but he may also be a stand up guy who just wanted to share his car with the rest of us. We may like it, we may hate it but why do some people on this site feel the need to just talk others (normally new members or people that are different to them) down. This is a site for people who love cars. Give the guy a break or before you know it this site will only be used by people with nothing better to do than slag each other off.

Rant over.

+1 Welcome to PH rolleyes

The OP isn't the first & will by no means be the last person with a barried Vauxhall to be at the receiving end of some PH banter.

Everyone has to start somewhere, and I guess a lot of PH'ers wouldn't so openly post about spectacular fails regarding their choices of car ownership of times past... Im sure the OP would be most pleased to have a more glamourous Vauxhall VXR of some form adorning his driveway should his circumstances permit.

- Later Novas on K/L plates were fuel injected and fitted with cat converters, and were st slow compared to the early carbed cars.
