What's rare about it?
It appears not to have factory issue neons and a bass you can feel from the other side of the retail park?

And the serious answer-mensioned earlyer in the thread- is that L reg is when nova's where phased out, and the corsa came in.

A bass as in a bass guitar? Or a double bass? 'Cause I don't think a double bass would fit in a Nova.

Hi guys , ive just joined this site, happy christmas to all . On the subject of L reg novas , i did alot of research a few years ago cos always had a passion for novas , whether highly modified or completely standard and mint . There was approx 5 'L' reg nova cars and approx 10 'L' reg nova vans , 2 of which up until recently were in birmingham city council and an electricity supplier in birmingham . The first time i came across the l reg was a red gsi in scotland. It took me 7 yrs to find 1 for sale ,up until recently i had 2 ,1 car and 1 van , i still have the van and havnt decided whether to convert to a car yet . I can supply photos for anyone that is interested.

I still fail to see how that makes it rare. Its exactly the same as a nove built and registered as a 'K' reg. The fact its one of the last makes it no different to any other nova.

i just have to post on here , i am a nova owner aswell (my nova vvv)

the car in question here , really isnt to my taste's but its rare in the fact that corsa's were introduced on a "k" reg , a corss over year for nova's and corsa's

"l" reg nova's arnt any different to any other nova , and the were not made last , they could of sat on a dealers forcourt for over 12 month before being sold , who would of wanted a old model when a new model had come out ,

just cos they are registered later doesnt mean that they wernt built before some that were registered with a "K" reg

one other point , another user said there are about 5 cars and 10 vans , im sorry to say that this is not true , there were hundreds of vans and not far of with cars really , ive known of about 30 gsi's personally and have one in my lockup as i type this

I used to know of a Triumph Stag that was on an A reg. That's unusual and so is this.

Rare and unusual maybe.

The same as seeing an old Lada Riva on the roads today.
Rare and unusual yes, but by no means good.
