So I bought myself a 145 Cloverleaf, 1998 on a S plate. It has the hard task of replacing my lovely 147 which was effectively stolen few months back frown

She's done 104,000 miles and cost me £600 smile

I have to say I do like it lots, needs a few things doing to it like new wishbones and a new MAF and I have already had the cambelt changed straight away as there was no evidence of it being changed when it was supposed to of been.

So here are the photo's,

Lovely looking car. Very tidy.
Totally shocking about the 147, hope you get it sorted.

Cheers guys, the only part that is not original and those are the brakes as they are the drilled/grooved discs but I will be changing them for some decent Brembo's as soon as I possibly can as I am not to comfortable with the after market ones frown

I am going to fit HIDs as the headlights are projector style and will as far as I know look OEM, plus I had them on my 147 and it made night driving such more fun and more importantly safer smile

But apart from that I am not to sure what else I wanna change on her as she's in good original condition smile

I like these. Never seen a car that can look so good on the outside and so cr@p in the inside. You've cropped your photo's well to hide that awful passenger side dash cut out.

Liking it though.

That is bloody lovely! Did these ever come with leather interiors like the 156 and GTV? If so, the want factor would be higher still...

I 1st thought the interior looks rubbish and it does, but tbh I am having far to much fun driving her to worry about things like that smile

I even don't have a stereo fitted just so I can hear the lovely sound of the twinspark and the rasp from the exhaust smile

Lovely motor mate, I love Alfa's. I had a 145 junior on a Sreg when I was 19. Best 1.6 car I ever driven. I can only imagine how much fun a cloverleaf would be. Do you find it really easy to oversteer in? My juniour was incredibaly tail happy for a small front wheel drive car. Happy motoring anyway.

They do come with leather interior as well, but they are totally hard to get hold of and would like a set in black if I ever come across a set wink

Funny you mention about life of oversteer, had it happen twice so far but the roads were rather damp wink

I had a go in a 145 Junior when I was looking for my 1st Alfa but bought a 1.6 147 instead, so going back down the Alfa range sure feels odd but I see where some reviews say that the 147 was missing the turn-in of the 145 and the fun factor frown even though the 147 grips much better but I put that down to having bigger and fatter tires!

HIDS are very easy to fit if the light units are anything like that on the GTV - almost plug and play and they look factory behind the ellipsoid lenses.

Well done on the belt, thats always the first to do!

MAF is easy enough as you probably know.

Good looking car for 600 quid!
Cheers Euroboy smile

I learned my lesson from my 1st twinspark with the cambelt frown

The new Alfa looks lovely, always held a soft spot for these.
Regarding the clampers hopefully they will suffer some sort of comedy comeuppance in full view of everyone that they have wronged and then forever be the victim of similar scams.... As well as being forced to return all their ill gotten gains of course!

2.0 but mine is the CF2 twinny, that's with the 155bhp engine and little more torque as well smile

Cheers fella, I have never really given these a 2nd look that much but ever since I drove one in anger around the EVO Triangle I have had a soft spot for one wink

Yup, these are the best ones - should shify fairly well then!
It sure does, it totally fked off some knob last night in a Accord Tourer Type S wink
