M Power, MINI, Pork and Scoob
Discussion
Well, after spending most of my time residing in the health forum, I thought I would take the plunge and venture into the bear pit that is the readers' cars section! Here's a quick look at the cars that I currently own. Some I am sure you will find more interesting than others. Any comments, good or bad, most welcome.
First up, my BMW M3 (E46). I've only owned the car for a few months, it's a 2005 model with 27,000 miles on the clock. Not really had much of a chance to use the car properly due to time constraints, but I have to say it is a fantastic piece of kit. Tinkered with the idea of going to 19's, but I've been told the ride may suffer so I will more than likely stick to the original wheels. Anyway, I think they look quite cool. All in all, probably all the car I will ever need (until the GT3 comes along...)
Bought this for the wife, as a replacement for her '63 Beetle. I guess I was like a lot of people when they first came out, in that they lacked the character of the original, was a lot bigger, blah blah blah, but I have to say that it's a real hoot to drive. Personally I think the R53 looks a lot cleaner and less fussy than its replacement. Also being grey and a cooper s, I don't look too ghey driving it.
Ah yes, my '83 911. I am well aware that it is at the bottom of the 911 ladder (being a Targa and a SC) but beggars can't be choosers - it's my first 911, and I love it all the same. I've had it for nearly 5 years, and spent quite a bit restoring the interior. I will need to spend some money on the bodywork at some stage. Mechanically, it is absolutely perfect, with fairly low mileage for the year (70,000). Driving it is an absolute joy, I think in some cases, analogue is better than digital!
Finally, this is my Subaru WRX wagon. I've had this car since new, 2001. I know it is regarded as an ugly car by a lot of people, but as an all round family/performance car, it ticks all the boxes for me. It has a prodrive performance pack fitted which utterly transforms the character of the car (for the better) and of course, accentuates the already wonderful burble. I really should sell the car, in order to finance the fuel costs on the Beemer, but I just can't. There, I hope you've enjoyed my brief introduction to my cars. Flame suit now ready...

Lovely collection you got there mate , where was the first pic of the Scoob taken ?
This was taken on a drive between Cavalaire-Sur-Mer (near Toulon on the coast) and Alpe d'Huez, somewhere in the Provence-Alpes-Cote d'Azur region. Spent a whole day on the RN roads, fair to say it was a driving nirvana. The car performed absolutely suberbly.Gassing Station | Readers' Cars | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
