Good work on taking on another build, looking forward to seeing the updates!

Don't blame you on having a few creature comforts in the car, I always thought a heater would make a dedicated track-car a lot more enjoyable.

Personally I think the whole track-car thing gets taken a little too far sometimes. I've been guilty of it myself, but I now wonder if 10kg's here and 9kg's there really makes a 'noticeable' difference. Removing things like blowers is fine on a race car which may be used for a 20 min race, but doing the same in a track car which is likely to be run all day will either freeze your nuts off in winter, or boil them in the summer.

More and more people seem to be heading down the club-sport route from what I've seen; keeping carpets, door cards, blower and a radio, combined with decent suspension, seats, harnesses and a half/full cage.

This way you can drive to/from your trackday (or the Ring) without the hassle of trailers, etc, with a negligible fraction of gain on your lap times.

soapbox

Really looking forward to watching this one Rich!

I ended up putting the heater back in mine before a trackday in november, as it would have been too cold inside to enjoy it otherwise. I also miss having a radio. I find myself sining to myself after 5 mins, which is NOT a good thing.
