Mick plates = Northern Irish plates.
Something to do with paying less import tax, or something like thatThey're usually used to hide the age of a car - suppose 944s are just coming out of the small-time wannabe gangster / council estate stage of their lives - which is why so many have NI plates on them now.
On the steering wheel, I do have the original and initially I was going to change it back but it's lovely to hold so I may well stick with the one it's got!
All Porsches seem to go through a lot of plate changes. Both of my 944s where bought from previous owners who had them a long time (10+ years) and neither where bought from a council estate, thanks.
