Rod, shame you wern't able to run at the last Vmax, it would have been great to see the mighty Cossie at Defcon 1.
215 at Brunters is a fair target, like to try that myself.
Good lucksmile
Totally gutted!!!

The problem should have been avoided. The ECU boost safety limit was removed on the mapping run to avoid boost flutter & the pipe from the wastegate came off allowing uncontrolled boost. Its likely that the GT42 puffed up to 4.5bar for a few glorious seconds blowing the gasket. The pipes are now aeroquip something that should have been done prior to the run. We live & learn .mad.

Was watching your sighting run and saw the puff, really thought it was smoke so was glad to find out it was water. At least the damage was minimal.
Running that day was....erm...exciting to say the least, grip out of the bottom corner was the main problem (plus the fogyikes)
All in all though a good day and was pleased to post the top speed of the day (206)
You must have your gearing spot on if you are hoping for 215 (Mine will need some work tbo) good luck in the braking zone;)

Gearing is my forte its the real secret of why my car does what it does. Remember taking the Cosworth RWD record years back with 60bhp less power than the previous holder smokin.
Dyno wise we have just about enough power to pull 210 off gas & 215 on.
We are on the ragged edge of the YB block so may be a bit conservative on the Nirous. 215 is the target but 213 will see me retire from pushing the record further. Im past 65 now & getting a bit old for this caper.

Glad to see the pension is going on something cool. You should attempt your last v-max with a wooden bobble seat cover and a tartan blanket across your knees. biggrin
