Well here I have some pics of my first 197! I've owned this now for two weeks and it is safe to say I am hooked, everything about it is unreal.

I love being inside it and I can't stop checking her out from my window before bedtime.

You should definitely consider it Otter, it really is so nice to own! They're fairly priced too which was perfect for me.

Having came from a 1.1 Clio - to say the power difference was slightly crazy was a bit of an understatement! I just can't wait for the summer now.

Nice mate i went from my 1.2 corsa to a 172 on me 19th bday! proper capable cars i carried a few mods made the car only better, the handling was amazing and the 5k kick got adictive. Although diff models im sure they are pretty much the same and the 197s if not better handling wise!

Get ya self on cliosport.net got myself alot of good advise and cheap parts!

Mine before it was sold

Very nice mate. Drove pretty much all the lastest hot hatches babck to back for a while and I found the 197 cup with recaros by far one of the bestn didn't feel that fast but brilliant chassis and great to hoon about itm found it much better than the clio 182 cup and megane R26 I drove.

Lots of friends in the car trade and wanted to find out what was the best for mw to buy. Didn't end up with any of them either lol
Needed more space for baby stuff hence me not buying the 197. Was a shock I liked it as I really didn't like the other renualts

say no more ........ hehe

Cracking Car.... i'm a big fan of hothatches and i'm planning to purchase a 172cup around June/July time biggrin

If the 200cup I passengered in on a run the other month is anything to go by it's still obvious that the Renault Sport engineers have the hothatch and hyper hatch recipe sussed.

They're a small sacrifice buddy, but I agree slightly.

There are very few which have been reliable and successful (from what I have heard).

I personally don't see the need to do so - as the natural aspiration produced by the standard engine is enough for me, and I wouldn't really like to damage something I have paid so much for. But thats just me!

Having looked at the thread, can't help but notice after all that hard work and probably £££'s, the power increase is only 202bhp, and a slight difference in 3rd gear range.
