Thankyou for your advice, the hardest part for me about the whole thing is seeing the pain my mum is going through, I'm just hoping things get easier for her ad time goes on. As for the car graphics, they havnt been done yet but hopefully done very soon, will post pics as soon as it is. As I've put on this forum, I nearly lost my younger bro last year, so this thread rsonates with me.
Truly sorry for your loss, don't know how I'd have dealt with such circumstances.
Fully understand that, although the aesthetics are not going to be to everyones taste, the rationale overrides opinion.
I'm nowhere near you geographically, and I was lucky enough that my bro made it through (different circumstances, but no real difference in effect), but I would very much like to make clear that anything I could do to help, in whatever way, shape or form, just shout, and I'm there for you and yours..... Equally, I'm sure my mum and family would offer the same if it's of more practical use...
In my experience, this place is unique in the level of understanding and support provided and offered - PH was a massive help to me and mine, and if I can in any way assist in paying that back, I'll do whatever I am capable of.
Good luck with the project, and seriously, feel free to call on me publically or through PM and I'm there.
Yours,
Sam (further resonance there, I can see)

Evening all, not much progress with sam's car yet, although I dropped the gearbox into a specialist to be looked at as the guy we bought the engine and gearbox from described a whining noise in 5th gear, turns out 5th gear is slightly worn, probably because the box has been run low on oil. Gearbox place are struggling to locate parts for it, does anyone know where I get parts for a F16 gearbox? It came from an astra gte so I'm told! Thanks in advance for any help offered!

Have a look at www.migweb.co.uk for info both C20XEs and conversion advice.
Cracking project by the way.
Cracking project by the way.
I've finally started on the corsa! Took the old engine out this evening, only finished about 30 minutes ago and didn't have my camera handy so had to make do with some crappy phone camera pics, although there is not much to see yet but the aim is now to really crack on and get the new engine in

Sorry to hear about your lose Good luck with the project. I thnk the run idea is a great thing I come down to Devon every August to take part in a Mini run in aid of the CHSW.
Let me know when this is and I will try and get the corsa involved, (if it's ready)! See if we can raise some more dough for CHSW! Gassing Station | Readers' Cars | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
