My pride and joy. 2003 BMW 318. Metallic grey. SE trim with leather. Still in mint condition.

Selling in the coming months due to wanting a change and maybe something a little newer.

Been sat in the same car for 3 years. Nothing more, nothing less. Just fancy a change.

I've been out of an E46 for the past 3 years.... looking to get back in. Really nice place to be. What do you fancy as a change?

I fancied an e60 520d but maybe I should be more sensible and go with a 120d. I don't really need something as big as the 5.

lovely, these are very high in my list on a next car to own (insurance permitting). does the 2litre not feel abit sluggish at all? considering its weight.

Not when I first got it (coming from a 1.8 Vectra). Still drives well. Sometimes feels a little sluggish but it's generally OK for day to day driving.

How about a 320d?

Sure looks good. Nice place to be in too. 1 Series should make a good replacement

The new 3's (e90?) don't do much for me. For my budget, I'd probably have to take a poverty spec example. The 1'er makes more sense for the type of car I'm after.

A lot of people slate the 2.0 E46's for being crap. Whilst they're obviously no match for a 6-cylinder they aren't shabby for the size of the car. Mine is a 2004, done 84k (M-Sport though) and is lively once you get it wound up. Try one, you'll be surprised.

My first choice was a 320 but I just couldn't find the 'right' one so settled on the 318 which was the best I found (IMHO) and matched the spec I wanted.

I don't think I could blame people for disliking the pre facelift E46 318i with only 118hp. The post facelift 141hp 318i is much better, not fast, but acceptable for what it is.
