Lets Torque said:
I'm in Chesterfield and me and my family get good insurance quotes.

A freind also has a 2.2 Vauxhall Astra Coupe with 4 years NCB and is around £700 fully comp IIRC.. my suggestion is to look around.
Thanks
It really is just driving me around the bend, i can afford a proper performance car but the insurance just kills any dream lol.
so far only really used gocompare, swiftcover & admiral..will have to try find more to try out!
I'l stop with my unrelated posts now

Cheers chaps.

As for insurance, as I say its around £850 for me fully comp with 2 years NCB and I'm with Bell. I was with admiral on my old car but considering I only pay £150 more for this car with bell than I did with admiral for my old one, I'm not so sure I was getting the best deals!

One factor for me is the ever growing cost of petrol...few pumps round my way have hit the £1.40 for regular unleaded now. I'd love a performance car but I'd never be able to fully enjoy it because of the price of the fuel.

By the sounds of it mate you are getting proper done by your insurance. Mate of mine drives a 1.6 Bora (lovely cars btw), hes 21 and been driving about 2 months and he doesnt pay nearly as much. Maybe try a comparethemeerkat or moneysupermarket to see whats about. When i was doing quotes elephant offered me some good quotes too (they were about a tenner more expensive than bell).
