Just reading about the new 2005 911 turbo S,

"Standard equipment on the 911 Turbo S includes further developed Porsche ceramic composite brakes (PCCB(R)). The internally vented ceramic discs have a diameter of 13.78 inches both frint and back The front brakes use 6 piston monobloc fixed calipers rather than the 4 piston version used on the standard 911 turbo".

This is the first time I have heard any revision to the
PCCB btraking system...is this evolution or are they allowing us to beleive they didn't get it right the first time??

Isn't that just the standard PCCB system? It's always been a 6-piston caliper for the front wheels.

Reading it, I thought the PCCB(R) was the interesting part...as in (R) = revised? re-designed?
I wondered if they had altered the composition of the brake discs or pads?
Agree on the 6 pot calipers, that was merely part of the text and not the part that intrigued me.

I think its more likely to be (R) = Registered Trademark (instead of the 'R' in a circle character: ®).

I thought that at first JC,,,but was wondering what they alluded to with the "further developed" part of the text? Porsche's words not mine
