Think I've discovered the source of the design, if not the answer to the wisdom of adopting it. Each time I'm behind a Mk4 Golf in traffic, particularly dark colours on a sunny day, the reflection of my 996 C4S in the hatchback is distorted into a KN lookalike.

Hmmmmm ...
Anyone care to drive their Cayenne behind a Golf Mk4 and tell us how it looks like in the Golf's hatchback ?
May very well be the design of the next Porsche.

Perhaps you'd need to drive it behind the new Mk V Golf instead?

Objectively speaking, from side on it looks like an enlarged Mazda 3.

Totally disagree, old bean - especially with the air suspension in 'ground attack' repose.

Anyway, the last time I heard something this rorty on blast away with a V8 on board, the numbers 928 were involved.

yeah sorry, it was a little.

But after much looking and squinting and head tilting, and trying to like it because its a porsche, and admiring the bedford laptimes, grinning at the Gemballa models....I have come to the conclusion that it really is an ugly heap.
Glad its made Porsche some cash.

But Im biased, because I hate most 4x4s anyway.

Oh..BTW if thats you in your profile picture...Respect mate.

ive got one, a cayenne turbo, and i think its shit hot, its fast (not as fast as my 911) but stupidly quick for a off roader, which is what i often use it for, and for that even with the 20 inch wheels and road tyres its awesome. dont knock it til uve tried it. the styling almost out me off getting one but everything else outweighs this.
