I'm posting in case anyone with a 993TT has upgraded the turbos to K24 or similar and has the old, used standard turbo's (K16) lying about.
One of my turbo's appears to have worn out an oil seal and my plan is to replace them with Hybrids. The easiest way of me doing this is to find an old set of similar turbos, get them rebuilt as Hybrids and then get the garage to do a straight swap.
Drop me a message if anyone has any ideas.

Thanks for your help

Steve

Enquiring minds want to know: what are your plans for hybrid turbos? Any sources and/or specs in mind?

I'm planning to get Kevin of Alamo turbos/zeroclearance in the states (see Rennlist) to make some stage 2 K16/K24 ceramic coated hybrids. Should give a much wider torque spread and less lag than K24 turbos.
I've got someone in the UK making some 100 Cell cats based on the standard Cat pipes but with 100 Cell metal matrix cores and revised (less restrictive)inlet and outlet cones. I should have before and after flowbench results on these soon. Not sure whether to ceramic coat these or not at the moment.
Just tinkering.

Hello SFL

I have also been thinking about Kevins turbos and the K16/K24 seem the best. They seem to be getting some good recommendations. Are you also going to upgrade the ECU and if so who are you using?

cheers
