be warned... the guy who 'guards' the carrera gt on the motorshow is rude, patronising and quite intolerant of viewers.

so much so that i complained to another member of staff about his attitude.

i can only assume he works for noble and was deliberatley trying to deter customers off the porsche stand and onto the noble stand where the people there were only too keen to help...

as a result i am now number 26 on the waiting list for an m14!

Probably the same guy who was guarding it last thursday. A woman stepped up onto the revolving platform to get a closer look and he virtually pushed her off.

So we waited till he walked off then about a dozen of us stepped up and took our photos then stepped down.

at the Top Marques show in Monaco, you could have physically slobered over the thing. No restrictions whatsoever !!

Well, if slobbering is your kind of thing

Sounds like a complete tosser. I would've asked him if he was an optional extra because I wouldn't want him to come with the car

Just a thought maybe it's his car.

Could have been his? If I had a Carrera GT, I wouldn't want anybody touching it either..

Seems to me that Porsche are being a bit tight really. Mercedes actually let you sit in an SLR which after all costs pretty much the same.

When I was queuing to get on the stand saw the guards physically pushing people off the revolving floor the Carrera GT was on. I'm sure they would give you some rubbish about health and safety on revolving floors, but why tempt us by putting probably the most beautiful car of the whole show on one then. They know people want to get close to it. Pointless if you ask me!

Cheers
Carl

Maybe that's because no-one wants to get into an SLR though, you could just jump in the SL65 and squint.

Am I right in saying that the GT will be the only one you can guarantee being able to buy (as long as you have the cash), as the SLR is a low production, and the Enzo isn't even worth mentioning...?

Wrong.

There are only 40 CGTs coming to the UK and all are pre-sold.

You can order a MacMerc now at list price if you want, though it will be a couple of years for delivery.

The only good thing is that all CGTs are LHD, so I'm sure a few will find their way over to the UK from Germany etc......

Why would it be a good thing that they are Left Hand Drive?

Oh it must have been the SLR that I read that about then. But then I suppose that figures, because it's the one I'd want least out of the 3.

Oooh, have I just opened a can o' worms? Enzo, CGT, or SLR? (If you actually had the choice, ignoring price, etc)
