TPMS - Sensor Replacement
Discussion
I have just replaced the N|S sensors on my 987 Boxster . I went for the HUf model which do not need programing . After 20 miles the system is still learning . The onscreen TPC report still reads the pressures on the O/S tyres but blank on the left . Is there anything else to do ? I doubt its a faulty controller unit ?
Thanks
Thanks
Reviving this thread to get latest advice - car is 997 turbo
My local tyre place is quoting £134 for each sensor, plus £24 for each valve for OEM parts
So roughly £650 to replace all 4, labour wise they are jsut going to charge me £10 per wheel for the re-balance
Seems pretty reasonable for OEM, are other options much cheaper?
And once fitted, does anything need re-calibrating? This is important as they say if that has to be done they would have to go to local Porsche specialist who I know will charge £££

excellent thanks
will check OPC price now - are some cheaper than others, or is it a fixed OPC price for parts?
Had mine done at local tyre place 18months ago. I bought beru (oem) sensors from tpms warehouse. Really can't remember how much but £80 I think is about right.will check OPC price now - are some cheaper than others, or is it a fixed OPC price for parts?
Had them fitted and they just wouldn't talk to car. I was told about 25 mins drive should do it but it took a few 1hr drives before it was sorted and they work perfectly.
Shouldn't be more than £15-£20 per wheel to fit as it's just tyre off and rebalance.
Yes, it was a ball ache at first but oem sensors at less than half price opc was well worth it.
Incidentally m, if you call tpms warehouse you will think it's the wrong number as it's a Chrysler dealer, but I think it's option 2 on the phone to get through to them.
