Cayenne S telephone and command centre failure
Discussion
Just joined and have a point to make
I have had a Cayenne S since Sept and during that time have had a boat load of electrical faults:
Total battery drain
Replaced Porsche Commance Centre
Replaced telephone system ( new slave handset cause phone system wouldn't boot)
Now the phone has bust again and it was only fixed 5 weeks ago.....is there an inherent fault with the electrics on the cayenne or what.
I love the motor but bloody hell in the last 9 months it has been in the dealer about 6 times ( also in for dealer recall, and new aluminium trim on the doors)
Can't wait for my new M5 !

Hi,
I have had my KN since December and have had a few of problems with the car: -
1) All the metal trim around the doors rusted and had to be replaced
2) All the electrics to the drivers door had to be replaced.
2) The switch on the rear glass that opens up, went. This meant that every time I put the key in the ignition, the rear window popped open
3) The PCM system seems to go a bit haywire sometimes, although I can not put my finger on the fault.
and 4) I must say that the level of customer service that I have recieved at the only 2 Porsche dealers I have used (both in the South East) is the worst I have ever, ever recieved!!!
I thought that Renault were supposed to be bad, but can not be worse than this snotty nosed lot. Having come from the Subaru and Lotus world, I have been shocked!
