Has anyone took a punt on a poverty cayenne?
I used to think they were ugly as sin, but for some reason I've been drawn to them as a replacement for my X5.
Thoughts?
Had mine just on a year now. a V8S 55 plate. Mine is a rare colour (Dark olive metallic) with a massive option list including a panoramic roof.I used to think they were ugly as sin, but for some reason I've been drawn to them as a replacement for my X5.

bought at 88K now at 99K. It's had new tyres, Vredestein Vortis on the 19" wheels & had a geometry check which showed every wheel pointing in the wrong direction. In Nov fitted a set of 18" wheels with Dunlop winters. In the snow & ice it has been amazing, plenty of traction & no hairy moments. I had the local OPC do a an oil & filter change & give it a check over. All looks good. Mine has full history (not all OPC) & has had the coolant pipes & carden shaft fixed.
Currently over mixed driving returning around 18MPG. Took a while to settle in as had a 2000 Jeep 4L before & they are chalk & cheese.

Rebuilt using Gen 2 parts? Discuss.
Not really sure how that's possible, but even it's 'just' a rebuild by the likes of Hartech or Autofarm, could be worth a punt?

I assume they are horrendous on fuel but we don't do many miles so that's not a problem really.
Are they ok with short journeys, school runs etc?

Could be Cobalt. Mine looked very similar but was PTS in Estoril Blue. Cost around £3500 in 2000!
I keep looking at that one. But pretty is strong. tr7v8 said:
