The article on the Carrera 2.7 RS was interesting reading. I then looked at the engine capacity and wondered just if...

Turns out your 986 has the same 2687cc displacement and similar power figures. Apples and oranges of course, but maybe the engineers were giving a nod to the legend when they designed the 2.7 M96?

I read that as two previous owners. MOT history is reassuring. PSE and 18" Sport Design wheels. Full PSH would need further investigation, but looks like a nice car for the money.

Dont get too caught up in the why and whats for. Decide if you want one then buy one. Brutal advice yes but if you think about the variables you'll get lost. Some people want specific colours, specific spec, low mileage or low owners or all of the above. We could give a better steer if we knew what you want from your Porsche. Do you want a garage queen to clean and look at. Are you handy with a spanner. Do you want one to drive and enjoy as it moves you. Do you want a low entry price. Even I think that looks like a good buy at 10 and I have one already. I spent 6k on mine in the last 3 months. I could spend another 6 quite easily. Food for thought.

If I didn't have one already I would snap that up in a heartbeat!

Regardless of service history etc that is a very cheap car and I cannot imagine a better car for anywhere near that price.
