Given I'm well versed on the matter of dirty cars, I can safely say after a month of not washing one it doesn't seem to ever get any worse no matter how long you leave it.

Unless you're driving through mud I suppose.

10% is 10% though I imagine scraping a living out of dealing 2k family hatchbacks isn't fun. FWIW IME many/most are working on a lot more than that - having been given a full breakdown by a dealer on trade to retail finances (this was a franchised dealer of premium marques). The guys living the dream are the ones sat on appreciating stock. Some traders are more likely than others to be offensive with their bids though. I guess if you keep low balling eventually you find someone in a weak enough position to sell. On that level I actually rank car dealers below estate agents.

And yes, the no name and shame policy protects some businesses, and very unfairly IMO.

If you avoid parking near trees. The perils are two fold, bird poop and tree sap on much much sunnier days. Both of which ruin a car quickly and make it look scrap.

Definitely low - either springs are knackered or its had some rubbish lowering springs fitted. Rear looks a little low too but not as much as the front.
Its a great colour and interior though;.

Looks a shade low on the front.

This is mine on Koni FSD and M030 spec -10mm H&R springs. It was the same pretty much on old M030.

I saw that the other day. I had an E36 with those colours and I liked it. May have been the inspiration for the buyer who spec'd that out. Perhaps they had a matching pair.

A pleasant change from the usual "standard" hues IMO.

Just pleasing that modern designs use the interior colours more sparingly... that would look nice with the savannah seats and maybe door cards, but with black dash / wheel / doors / carpets etc.

The one-colour everywhere is just too much for my sensitive disposition.

Agree. Could be a bit much. That single colour splash does seem specific to Porsche. Chuck some black mats in there and maybe whip out the centre console (where it looks like the surface is lifting in places anyway) and change it to black. Maybe a black gaiter on the shift and a black 'knob. I think that could look good.

I put some black trim into mine to tone it down a bit. Think it’s just enough. I’ve seen one with a black wheel and it didn’t look right at all.

Like that, too.
I was looking at a silver 996 earlier which had the carbon dash and centre console inserts, I think those do a grand job of toning it down just a touch.

Ferris (what an awesome film), thanks for removing the postcode - I chuck random ones from miles away in when searching on AT for this exact reason.

I see where both you and Plate Spinner are coming from re the interior - I could probably live with that, but I can see how that can be a little much. I actually like the fact that these options are available as the corporate black / grey that's usually the norm can be rather bland.

You could get two tone dashboards and have the centre console in another colour too. My dash is metropole blue (alomst looks black) over grey, arctic silver centre console and a black steering wheel and is a nice place to be. Wouldn't be a fan of single tone black, or worse, grey.

Scho's car has a lovely interior. On the green 996, black 'horseshoe' around the HVAC controls and stereo and black air vents would make a massive difference. Perhaps the centre console painted in body colour. I'm confused as to whether it has natural or tan as opposed to savannah - savannah is lighter as per the later picture of the clocks, but the pictures of the seats look like natural?! Whatever wolour it's in, over black on the dash and a black wheel would look lovely and complement the exterior.

That interior looks a bit of a mess actually. The car on the whole could be good though.

This 67k mile 1998 (cable throttle) C2 manual on 17" wheels with sports seats, TC, LSD & M030 looks very nice. I bet it could be bought for £15k (or maybe less) and I reckon would be a good buy at that:

They are from the 996 targa I think. I'm sure when speccing new you could probably choose whichever ones you fancied from the range available. Wouldn't bother me at all. If 15k landed in my lap now I'd be all over that.
