Are those wheels right?
The option code sticker shows option XRB, which are the 18" 2 piece Sport Classic wheels - I believe the 17s on it are from a C4.

Savannah works much better with the newer cars, I think it looks foul in the 996 and 986 when there's that much of it.

When there’s black trim and black steering wheel it looks ok, it just looks rather OTT when absolutely everything is colour coded.

The offset looked squiffy to me, especially on the front.

They do look quite tucked in under the arches, but I think that is quite normal for the 17s.

I nearly bought this car recently. Purely on the strength of the colour combination; Zenith and Cinammon. In the end I found a car with significantly better provenance/spec in Lapis/grey. When I spoke to the dealer it turns out the Zenith car had 10 service stamps but had never been near a main dealer in its life. It looks and sounds like a reasonably good car though. Unfortunately there never seems to be a top notch Zenith car for sale when I'm looking.

Here's my new steed. 13 OPC stamps, 2 previous owners and 63k miles. Garaged from new. Spec Litronics, hardtop, full leather, 18" Sport classics, N rated Pirellis all round, heated seats, PSM, every receipt from new. Lots of recent suspension refresh, alternator, battery etc. Just had minor service and 1yr mot with no advisories, original invoice of over £48k. Paid £7400.

This 67k mile 1998 (cable throttle) C2 manual on 17" wheels with sports seats, TC, LSD & M030 looks very nice. I bet it could be bought for £15k (or maybe less) and I reckon would be a good buy at that:

If that checks out, it’s gorgeous. I’d have that in a heartbeat. They’re early C4 alloys.

There's a pdf you can download from there. Carreras - £310 for a minor, £395 for a major.

Verses £235/£350 from Hartech or your local indy. lot of money for a stamp & no better service.

My "local" indy charges £385 for a major and doesn't provide you with a choice of new Porsches for the day...

I wasn't advocating it, just answering the question.

What perceived value is there in a dealer stamp? Regardless of their competence. Again, not saying it's right - quite the opposite. However, it is real.

Which is what one assumes the business model is based on.

Like doing an MOT for £25 quid.
