2002 52
3.2 S Manual
86k miles

Ended at £5,000.

Owner stated an £8,500 valuation from the POC.
Appears it was listed previously and made just shy of £6k. I wonder what happened.

Well, after 7 years of Poverty Pork ownership (986 2.5 in Arena Red), I’ve finally buggered something up that I can’t fix myself :-(

Whilst dropping the top and giving the required karate chop to the rear plastic window....it split :-(

Has anyone got any recommendations for someone to fix it (pref near Wokingham but will travel for a good job).

Thanks

Jim

This could be very, very good. No mention of A/C and can't tell from the pics. Sports exhaust gets a thumbs down, but not a dealbreaker.

If I didn't already have a few worth candidates on my shortlist, I'd be making enquiries. It's a shame (for me) that it's at opposite end of the country.

Put a clear tape on it when it's closed, and carry on. That's how I lived with it for the last 3 years laugh

I’ve patched it with Helicopter tape which will do for now, hoping for less than 3 years to replace though :-)

Or a local classic car trimmer can stitch in a new plastic window.

Looks like a good one. Sports exhaust wouldn't put me off. 2.5 might tho

Place in Chessington, Surrey, do a new top on the colour of your choice, £600 fitted. Less if DIY. Info came from my 986 PO. That's quite close to you I think, sorry I can't remember the company name but some googling with keywords should yield results. edit: found it: www.carhood.com.

Someone (the guy who bought it, presumably) just tried to flip this to me at 6k elsewhere hehe

Air con doesn't work, needs a new rear light. Not many invoices, no evidence of problem areas addressed.

Also, what's the deal with higher mileage (150kish +) cars and thrust bearings? My specialist advised me against a 986 3.2 as thrust bearings will be 'non existent'.

Horrible half arsed advert but cheap enough to arouse interest (or write off as a scam)?

Am I missing something here? It says '100% real mileage', but then doesn't say what that is?

It's certainly really cheap unless the mileage is silly or there is something else really major wrong with it.

Yes, no mileage stated. No number plate to cross reference...

No mileage shown. Crap advert. I haven't followed up tbh.

Poorly detailed advert
No registration
Zero feedback

Those are all alarm bells individually, but all together? Run a mile smile

2000 W
3.2 S
Manual
76k

£5,600

Colour scheme may not be for everyone and it's not been used much recently so may need TLC but the opening bid leaves some scope for that.

It is a bit sudden, I agree!

But some black seats from a breaker and some black floor mats and it would be a lot less bright. How much are seats from a breaker anyway?

I love a vulgar interior on a car. It's not like it's your living room. Bring on the brown, greens, blues and orange hues.
