People's reason for sale are hilarious. I never believe them. Why would you buy a dog if you owned a cherished 997. I'd sell the car first otherwise you'd have to put the dog in the car and then once you have done it once you're gonna do it again etc.
I recently got a dog & I would not hesitate in putting him my 996, put a towel on seats & he's good to go, in fact I am thinking about removing the rear seat behind driver for him to use (need third seat some times)No bites, had to relist..

I guess my reason for sale 'it's just too reliable', simply would not be believed..
Jonesing for that melty 3.8 m97..

Ok, in my opinion there is way too much information in the advert. It's very enthusiast nerdy which is a little off-putting to the general punter who just fancies a 5k sports car.
Information like when the next service is due should be left out. So should saying you want to sell it because you would like a better car.
The biggest thing that jumps out at me is that steering wheel, it cheapens the car, makes it look like boy racer special and will put loads of potentially interested people off the car. Swap the original one back on, put the centre console back in also. Ditch the inclusion of spare parts, most people won't want them plus you'll get more money selling them on separately.
Take out the information about the dents and swirls, that's something a buyer can make their mind up about when they are in front of the car.
You want the advert to read like you love the car and you've taken care of it but not like you are an obsessive. Should be a few paragraphs at the most in the text. You can give further information about it when you've got a punter standing in front of you and it's time to reel them in.

Since it's open season....
I've sold a lot of vehicles on ebay myself of all varieties; I'd support the point about all the spare parts, the vast majority won't be interested. I would keep them and sell separately, but I would put the original steering wheel back on.
The front number plate looks poor in my opinion; a new plastic one for not much more than a tenner would look smarter, even without the plinth. And perhaps add a photo with the hardtop fitted, which isn't even referred to in the listing. Still seems a good buy though.

Jee shucks, y'all do know how to make a pretty little girl like me sad..
All taken on board, with thanks, I'll revert to factory parts, mention the hard top(...), and the heated seats for that matter.. And word the add to appeal to someone shopping for a turn-key car for the misses.
Edit; relisted...

speaking of constructive crits... A bit of wrong time to advert a 2 seater/cabrio imho
(I was just looking at 4x4's now, christmas almost there )
No idea what you're on about. Come to think of it, I used to get similar flack from driving my 1275 turbo mini on Yokohama semi-slick track tyres though the winter as well. No idea what they were on about.(I was just looking at 4x4's now, christmas almost there )
I think that new advert reads much better. It just needs some good photos showing the car from all angles, ideally taken somewhere nice. It looks a good car and at the right money.
Leave it a few weeks and If you still don't get much interest i'd be tempted to drop the price £500 and not include the hard top. That'll sell no problem by itself as a black one will suit any colour car.

Haha yes true, noted re; pretty venue. What are your fees with assisting in preventative bore score measures on a melty m97.. The argument is that You don’t buy these for outright power when a Golf R is on a par with A 997S. It’s all about an exploitable chassis and a revy engine. The 2.7 was more than enough for fun on the roads and you’re not going to beat anything modern in a 986S
I get the argument for the 986 but also would get an S
