Gotcha. How did you find that setup, in terms of volume and character as well as MOTability?

Looking at the manifold to head studs, I feel sure half of them will snap off so it's no small job but remains tempting.. driving

On the face of it, this seems nice for £5.5k

Ive run various exhaust combinations. Have a look on Boxa.net as there is generally more content there. I've posted my reviews of mods and pictures there. Now on manifolds, 200 cell cats, Carnewal and liking this combination the best.

Yeah

Especially for a little car pitch. Seems too cheap but I suppose that shouldn't put everyone off.

Looks decent but the fact the seller didn’t even invest in some centre caps puts me off. I know it shouldn’t but it does.

I asked them about it last week, MOT had expired then

It's been done now and looks like it needs a few things doing to pass:

Offside Rear Stop lamp(s) not working (4.3.1 (a) (ii))
Offside Front Indicator switch inoperative (4.4.2 (a) (ii))
Nearside Rear Prop shaft joint constant velocity boot no longer prevents the ingress of dirt (6.1.7 (g) (ii))
Offside Rear Drive shaft joint constant velocity boot split or insecure, no longer prevents the ingress of dirt (6.1.7 (g) (ii))
Nearside Front Shock absorbers has an excessively worn bush (5.3.2 (c))
Offside Front Shock absorbers has an excessively worn bush (5.3.2 (c))
Nearside Front Coil spring fractured or broken (5.3.1 (b) (i))
Offside Front Coil spring fractured or broken (5.3.1 (b) (i))
Nearside Front Brake pipe excessively corroded (1.1.11 (c))
Offside Front Brake pipe excessively corroded (1.1.11 (c))

But if it's all sorted by them before purchase could be ok

Ha. Didn't bother to do an MOT check - quite an impressive list.

Was pretty clean up until 2016.

that shows a definite lack of love for a few years, shame as its a really nice looking spec

rear tyre profile looks a little off in the pictures. maybe its just the liberal coating of back-to-black

One of the wheels also has a bolt missing on the split rim - not a good sign that the wheels are safe/serviceable.
Indicator stalk not working could be expensive also.
With the cost needed to bring that car up to a reasonable standard, if you're not a keen amateur mechanic then its still overpriced at £5.5K.

I thought this too but pics show 265 35 18. Fronts look stretched but rears look fat.

I liked the look of this:

Looks in good order apart from no mention of a suspension refresh, so maybe due?

Potentially a good runner with all that paperwork. That mileage will make it a hard sell so price could be even sweeter for a buyer that doesn't worry about those things..

If it's an M96 3,2 then yes.. Wasn't the early M97 3.2 an extra melty edition??

This is a bit of a poverty budget stretch but the mileage brings the value down nicely and with all the maintenance and history it's got to be a mechanically sound purchase for sure..... (it's mine) mwaha ha ha ....

What do you think is much different between the 987 3.2 and 986 3.2 ?
