That’s a far nicer way to put it.

I may, like a big idiot, have persuaded him to keep it and sort the issues out himself, then sell it for what it’s really worth.

I really must try harder.

So 8 1/2 years after I started this thread I have another piece of Pork arriving next week, can't wait but it won't fit this thread as it definitely isn't Poverty Pork, just upper / middle budget Pork, a PDK GT car is still beyond me ....

So where is Bluebell now ? Yes, thats what I called her, if anyone knows if R287XBV is well, I'd love to know, MOT checker not showing but suspect its gone onto a personalised plate.

Here she is just before she left me ....

Just saw this, looks pretty good. Crap ad and pics but seems a decent car and +ve MOt history.

Not for me in Northern Ireland but maybe someone is more local?

£3500 early 2.5 in Silver/black

This 996 might be a nice bargain for someone.

That looks lovely, maybe boring for some but to me that colour combo is timeless.
IMS Upgrade as well.

The MOT history's pretty good too. There are a fair few age related marks, but nothing major.

Also, for some reason, I find prices in these CC auctions, don't seem to go up much in the final minutes. It just sort of sits there, not doing a lot. Which is nice.

I think my mate paid 15 for this about 2 years ago. It had a full engine rebuild according to the paperwork but he didn't know when he bought it.

Its green with brown. Not the usual green and not the usual savanna. Its an interesting colour combo.

The paperwork is light on detail for his rebuild so its still a mystery what was done.

Thought I'd ask about a seat retrim in red, for my arctic on black 986S. Drive in & out service from TheSeatSurgeons in York is £585 + vat. Crests £25ea extra. Not as bad as I thought it might be but I probably won't bother.
Just the seats?
Yep.
You can refinish them and make them look like new for £60 odd with the kit from furniture clinic.

Or Volico do the colour in rattle cans...

I don't see red there. Only cobalt blue which I thought was an exterior colour.

Really? £12,600 for a 97,000 mile 996.2, with no idea about bore score, sold at auction?

Wouldn't call that a bargain. If it turns out to be faultless, then maybe, but who knows at this point?

OK, find me a cheaper one with such a good service history.
