Not poverty, but this ones been sitting over a month with a £1k price drop already.. Full Hartech rebuild via Steve Bull. It's basically the same price as non rebuilt C4 cabs with the same miles and looks in very good condition.

I guess everyone wants a C4S and not the C4. Would be nice thing to cruise around in after a session in my bone crunching Cayman R..

Yeah, rebuild was done under the current owners watch too. Just strikes me as a genuine looking car. If it was a Boxster it would be away by now. I know cabs aren't the most loved 911 but a retro cool vibe there with the Silver over Red and color coded hardback seats and centre console. He's even got the umbrella.

Manual, good miles, good history, good colours, I'd have that in a heartbeat.

Looks great. Cabrio aren't my thing but looking out the window today, I'd quite fancy taking that for a quick blast around Cornwall. It's a lot of car for the cash.

Rebuilt engine basically for 'nothing' compared to similar ones

Exactly, If I had double garage I'd be tempted at it as a complete antithesis of my Cayman R.

In a few years when the kids fook off head to France with it and the missus!!

I think it's been on at least 6 weeks now....

One day you will wake up and realise you can just leave these cars outside. Then you will realise all the years and years of fun you have missed out on by insisting your pork has to go in a garage. I've got 3 outside and I am zeroing in on number 4.

I'd need a bigger drive for starters as three cars already and the NI winters are pretty brutal...seems cruel to expose a car to it aaah.

After four Z4's on the bounce I recently picked up this 987.1 to run alongside my 718 GTS 4.0. Really pleased with it and considering its 16 years old with 70K on the clock it scrubs up rather well.

That looks a tidy example.

Friend's had all sorts of cars/makes under the sun and currently has a mint 964, MK2 Escort, Mustang, 997 C4S etc. He bought a Red 987.1 base Boxster during Covid and admitted it's the one car that's really got under his (and his wife's) skin. Loves it.

Come on the main problem with some models of this era are these hideous interiors. Probably why it isn’t selling.

Lots of people love the boxster red interior though, myself included. Admittedly I prefer black steering wheel though but easily sorted.

Previous owner painted my gear lever and surround. It's wearing off a bit now.

I've also got some black seats waiting to go in mine. Just an experiment for now to see if the 997 seats make the car feel much better.

Cheapest Cayman I have seen advertised.

https://www.autotrader.co.uk/car-details/202108256...

Miley as you would expect at that price.

MoT history doesn’t look too bad.

Put the details in to WBAC and it comes up with a price of £7350

You said you love a red interior and posted up a picture of a pink one.

Yes, I'd say that's the reason. I've found that Porsche red interiors just don't photo well so 95% of potential buyers don't even get past that...

But as a 'retro' play silver over red has some legs. It's still what I associate with that era probably because it was the Boxster launch color.

I couldn't have it as my only Porsche but to swan around a bit it's an interacting one and your basically getting the engine rebuild 'free'.

As an open top experience though, probably smarter to spent less money on a minter 986 Boxster in those colours.

Not the best pic but I think the silver/red (or pink if you’ve got elderly eyes hehe ) black combo looks classy.

I saw a red interior on a 911 on eBay a few years ago, it was described as oxblood (I think?) and looked a real deep red. It was matched with a dark grey metallic exterior.
I'm not normally a fan of the gopping red or tan interiors but this one really looked stunning.
