And...??.
3.0 petrol & diesel.
First deliveries in April.
No 4 cyl for now.
3rd petrol model (not 4cyl) may follow soon after launch, or even at launch.
Dropping the v8 in from the cayenne gts would be awesome smile

I heard from one OPC that UK launch will be next April, 3 models available - Macan S petrol + diesel, and the Turbo. 4 Cyl petrol and diesel to follow perhaps 6mths later. To be PDK only. Any know anything else/different?

First thought was mac'n'cheese, as the yanks like to call their favourite pasta dish. Is it a concidence that the OP is called ChipsAndCheese?

Can I ask peoples who have pre ordered non lunched porsches before what is the process?
Will my local dealer put me on the list & what sort of deposit have you been putting down, also when it is lunched and you dont like it can you get your deposit back?

I could ask sales man but would rather get real live examples
With my Cayman, I had to write a letter of intent....no money changed hands.

Next was a deposit on the actual day of launch.

Next.....the long wait from November last years until April this year!!! That was the hard part!

The letter of intent doesn't get you a place in the queue though, does it? I thought it was actually paying the deposit that did that?

LOI gets you a position in the queue. Deposit fixes it.

Exactly, your dealer should offer customers with LOI a car before anyone else.
Put my LOI in about 12 months ago, so I am hoping to get one of the first cars.

As for the looks, I think its the back end that will be different - as they are still keeping it covered.
I expect this to be the case right up until November.

Web says £36K starting price.

if you go Diesel auto, then a evoque, Q5 or even VW tiguan all cost that. Am I missing something or is £36K not to bad.

Plus minimum 10k on 'essential' options...?!

I really like the look of these, if £36k gets one with an auto gearbox I'd be hugely tempted. It'll probably have a years waiting list though.
