But you're from Norfolk and people there think it's in good taste to wear dungarees and shag close relatives!

Checkout the popular "Norfolk mustard" in Lotus' colour range. Much bigger sales than "Stuttgart banana" biggrin

Hello fellow pistonheads, some really nice cars on this thread. Has anyone experienced stone chipping like this on their 981 Boxster S with the 20" upgrade. N.B. this damage occurred within the first 10 days of ownership at approx 1000 miles. Damaged to both rear lower bumper sections and to a lesser extent on the lower front wings.

There appears to be no protection at all on for these very venerable areas, the shine has been taken of this purchase, as I am reduced to repainting and coating with paintshield film already

I think this has been mentioned in another thread, but I have similar marking on rear wheel arches.
There is some protection strips fitted but these are obviously not enough.
Not that it matters but mine is a cayman 2.7 with 20" wheels.

Good point about the weather. It it turns really bad I will put the test drive off until Monday.

Also been considering an Audi S6 and BMW 435 Convertible. Neither would be as much fun but they come out around £10k cheaper and more practicle.

Strange test drive. Firstly the salesman showed me the brand new (less than 100 miles) demonstrator. He then drove it away at some pace taking it straight up to the red line in 2nd gear and holding it there. I know that modern cars do not need running in but seriously with a new and cold engine?

Anyway I had a very good drive taking in some nice twisty roads and dual carriageways. I was probably out for about 20 - 30 minutes. Mrs BC then went out and was given just a 10 minute run around town. Does the salesman live in the dark ages?

Anyway the car was fantastic. It was fast, exciting and corners amazingly. My only dissapointment was that I can't get the Sport Design Steering wheel if I want it heated.

My roof is off more than its on, even in the lowest temperatures, and never have my hands been cold enough for me to think I should have a heated steering wheel!

I really wouldn't let that detract you from the car.

Ditto. I've had the roof down most of this week, including at night, and no problem. Just send the heat to the dash and the foot wells. And turn the seats up.

Thanx you are probably right tho I do suffer from cold hands so the heated wheel would have been good.

Still can't get over how the opc treated or even abused the car.

This time of year having a manual with cold metal grip I get the missus to sit on it for five minutes to warm it up as I don't like driving with gloves on. However, the engine must of course remain off whilst adopting this procedure!

Hi
slightly concerned!! Given that the new Boxster and Cayman share the same running gear etc. anyone experiencing this? below
I have just taken delivery of a new cayman 2.7 PDK. I had a boxster 981 manual previous to this.
I have noticed when engaging Drive there is an audible clunk and slight judder as the gearbox engages 1st gear?
I have also noticed that when slowing down quickly coming down the gears I have the same noise but more noticeable?
When using the paddles it does not do this?
Anyone having similar issue? do I have a problem with the PDK box (my dealer says it normal and will bed in? just done 200 miles.
Any advice would be appreciated.
