Wheel refurb. Recommendations please.

Look no further IMHO, give Chris Weaver a ring at Exel Wheels; he'll come to you with a set of loan wheels & return in approx. 1 week with your refurbed wheels looking better than new.

Alloy Art have just done a good job on my Z4M - http://alloyart.co.uk
I expect that you'll find them to be cheaper than the competition and the standard of finish looks OEM.

need to get my wheels done. Looking for a nice job so a recommendation would be good please. If it's near Stevenage that's good since I'll go in but otherwise I'll assume courier too and fro.
I note some places bake wheels whilst others make no mention of this... is it important?
If you're in Stevenage BJV are in Flaunden (Herts). Here's a link to their informative website, which explains the process and includes a price list:I note some places bake wheels whilst others make no mention of this... is it important?

They refurbed the wheels on my 996 C2 five years ago and did a really good job and their prices are really competitive. They used to get mentioned on PH wheel refurb threads quite a bit, although I haven't seen them mentioned on here recently.
On the basis of the job they did on my wheels I'd definitely recommend them!
Wheels on my current 996 Turbo were done by Alloy Art (Southend) and they also did a good job. They were done as part of the deal to buy the car and the dealer I bought from uses them.
Exel get lot's of positive mentions on here and they do a collection service and can loan wheels whilst yours are being done, but expect to pay a bit more for this service.

I talked to Lepsons who Exel wheels use to do the actual work.
Although they are straightforward their service is very "vanilla", not too interested in matching colours correctly, will blend in rather than build up chunks that are taken out of wheels. I used the Wheel Restorer near Manchester. You'll need to courier the wheels but the level of attention to detail and quality in the workmanship seemed much higher to me. Wheels returned within 5 days looking like absolutely new.
