I've got spacers on my 996 turbo and having done a Trackday this week, I can say the steering feel and front end turn in was great.
7mm front, 15mm rear.
Looks great, handles great, what's not to like.

Hi

Just put 20mm spacers all around an old 2007 audi s5. Looks much better as wheels almost flush with but handling seems a bit less precise, tiny bit more spongy. The ride overall seems softer.

Expected the opposite in all with regard to handling. Guess I will lower it by 15mm or so.

What are our thoughts on this?

Thanks

Tom,
Welcome to PH.
You have asked about your Audi in a very old thread and one which is in the Porsche section.
If you start your own thread in the VW/Audi section you are likely to get a better response.
The best way to improve your Audi is to sell it and buy a Porsche wink

Tried it on my c4s, I actually think it makes the car look higher/worse since more of the sidewall is lit by the sun rather than in shadow. Sure it looks better from the back but I think the car would need lowering to pull it off in profile.

As for handling, would sir like some aditional unsrprung weight? The spacers i had we're surprisingly heavy @ 17mm. As not cheap when you factor in long bolts!
